Would the small size fit a 6-year old?

There is a small and larger tip options. My ears are small (like iPhone ear buds are too big to fit) and the small fit well.

How do you switch the filter from the larger earplugs to the smaller ones?

Push out the insert and insert into the smaller rubber shell.

Can you answer and hear a conversation on a telephone? i work in a large warehouse and rolling containers are super loud, wil this reduce the dbs

It would absolutely reduce the sound of the warehouse, while still being able to hear it fairly normally (at a lower volume, of course). As for still being able to hear the phone call, that’s questionable. I would guess yes, if you turned the volume up high enough.
