Great for sourdough proofing!
I use these for proofing my sourdough before shaping. They are great! I can easily see the rise of the dough and can lift and fold keeping everything in the container. Clean up is easy, and the lid keeps it clean. I ordered more as it worked so well, I can stack them up on each other during proofing to save space!

Nice Container for Sourdough bakers
Great for storing sourdough bread dough in the refrigerator. Allows you to monitor rising during bulk fermentation.

Perfect size for Sourdough Bread
Perfect size for making my sourdough bread. It has a lid which is nice for proofing the bread. Price was slightly less than most others but seems worth it.

Large capacity, sturdy and easy to use container.
These containers are sturdy and easy to use. They have a large capacity which I use for flour, sugar and one of them for dog biscuits. I like the lip on the edge of the lid which makes it easy to pop on and off.

A little too large for what I actually needed but great container
This is a nice container, albeit I think I thought I needed a 6qt for my sourdough, I actually could better use a 4qt. But it's Cambro, so you know its a great container

Ultimate Tupperware
These Cambro containers are the perfect size for storing foodstuffs in my fridge. I have a few of the larger containers, but those are used primarily for pantry storage. America’s Test Kitchen recommends the larger containers for allowing bread dough to rise during proofing, so you may gauge just how high that rise is using the measure marks on the side of the container. I have yet to do that but can see how much more practical that would be than fighting with Saran Wrap or peeking under a muslin cloth covering a cumbersome round bowl. I hand wash my containers just to make sure the measurements stay bright and readable They are too costly to experiment in the dishwasher to see if the measurement markers stay intact. A beloved Pyrex measuring cup has succumbed to years of being washed in the dishwasher. It still works but the graphics have faded. So I hand wash anything with measurements now. I use the smaller Cambro containers weekly. And everything seems sturdy, but I have noticed a white stress mark on the lid tab from being opened and closed repeatedly with use. Not sure if this will eventually snap later down the line. I will update my review if that happens.

Good quality
Great for refrigerating larger quantities of cooked foods, square shape takes up less effective space than other shapes of containers, lid is square and equal dimensions on both sides so it will fit easier that some similar containers that measure longer on one side and will only fit one way which is not a huge issue but it's nice when busy in the kitchen that the lid on fits on the first time without having to rotate it 90 degrees.

I use this size to bulk ferment my sourdough. Easy to store, stack up with the other different sizes as their differences are their depths.

I am usually good at checking reviews before purchasing items on Amazon. Didn't think there was anything complicated about this purchase...so this time I didn't read past reviews. How disappointing to find out that this product has a BPA warning sticker on it when received. It wouldn't be a problem if I was storing non-food items in it but using it to proof my homemade bread dough, that would be a problem. Back to looking for a safe solution. Too bad the manufacturer can't find a safer way to produce these when they are meant for a food safe use.

Very good container IMO, but it was bigger than what I needed. I should have considered the size more carefully. I only bake 1 sourdough loaf at a time so this was overkill. But if you are fermenting 3-4 loaves, this is a great container.
