Every Breastfeeding/Pumping Mom’s Dream
I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I am a first time mom and Breastfeeding has been a little overwhelming. I am big chested with a very heavy let down and a VERY strong flow (I liken mine to a fire hose). I go from nothing to engorged in 1.25 seconds and it makes feeding my little very unpleasant for the 2 of us. Per my lactation consultants suggestion, I now have to pump off at LEAST 2 ounces before I can latch my babe, so I don’t drown her in milk. THE HAAKAA CHANGED MY LIFE! I can now express quickly and on demand without having to find all the extra pieces to make it work. I just suction latch and go! It is quick, efficient, and I can suction one side when she is attached to the other (requires the football hold). In addition, there are no individual parts to clean or keep track of so it is PERFECT for travel. It is very discreet, so I can even use it in public places! This is a must have for every Breastfeeding mom! Note: I do NOT think it should replace your other pumps, but it’s a great tool to have! Pros: ITS CHEAP No Continuous Hand Pumping/Almost Hands Free Discreet Enough For Public Places No Extra Parts to Replace, Keep Track Of, or Clean Store the Milk in the container (as long as you purchase lid) You Can Massage Various Milk Ducts WHILE it is pumping to help with clogged ducts, and preventing mastitis. Cons: Once your initial BIG flow tapers off, you do have to do a little suction stimulation to get it going again

A true must have
The Haakaa is an amazing product for any breastfeeding mama. It’s affordable, easy to use, easy to clean and so efficient for exactly what it’s intended for. I used my Haakaa for the very first time this morning while nursing my almost 3 week old son on one side, Haakaa on the other. It was extremely easy to put on, and I didn’t need to use an extra hand to keep it in place. It stays suctioned to me on its own. It collected a substantial amount of milk (1-2 oz.) during my letdown while nursing on the opposite breast. Valuable milk that would normally soak into a Lansinoh pad that can now be added to my freezer stash. I will be buying this for all of my mama-to-be girlfriends that intend on breastfeeding their little ones!!

Useful for breastmilk collection
My wife loves using this so much. It’s her second time around buying this. She especially likes that this version comes in bigger size and has the suction at the bottom to keep it from tipping over and has a cap to secure the breastmilk. She likes to use this more than her actual pump and has been able to collect almost 1,000 oz of breastmilk in the last 6+ months. It’s easy to clean and convenient to bring around if needed.

Good concept- Not right for me
I heard amazing things about this from lots of breastfeeding mom's, and was so excited to try it. I feel like this would be a great product for the right person. During my first month or so of breastfeeding, I think this would've been very handy while my supply was regulating. I was always soaking my clothes, and I'm sure this could've collected a good bit. Now my daughter is 3 months, and my supply has regulated. I got this to use during the night or morning when I'm the fullest, and suctioned it at the same time baby attached. I only got a tiny bit in the bottom, and in order to get it to stay, you have to get a tight suction which caused painful pinching for me. I'm an average C cup. I feel like this would be good for people who have overactive letdown, oversupply, or beginning stage moms. Not necessarily for someone like me who has normal supply and normal letdown.

Effective
I absolutely hate using my powered pump while at home to build a stash for once I return to work. So I ordered this to use on one breast while I nurse from the other. It has worked wonderfully! Quick, painless, and efficient. I got the 4oz one, and I did notice that I can't seem to get to the 4oz without it losing suction and I can't manage to get it attached again once it reaches 2 oz. I have to empty the 2 oz into a bottle and then reattach to continue. (I will continue to research to see if I can find a way to remedy that) Also, the suction cup on the bottom does not work. Not sure if I got a defective one... The suction cup at least prevents tipping, but it does not suction to the table.

So helpful!
This thing helped me so much! I was having an overactive letdown and my daughter was practically drowning, especially with early morning feedings when my supply was greatest. I used this pump while I got her changed and ready to feed and would get between 1 and 3 ounces. When I use it on both sides, it works pretty well, not as strong as my electric pump, but still really well! Only con is that you have to do the flip back method so it’s comfortable. If I just squeeze the pump and place it, it really hurts my skin. Sometimes I also have to squeeze it again to create more suction as my milk flows, but I definitely recommend this pump! Super easy to clean and can be placed in my microwave sterilizer!

Poor design
I don’t understand the hype around this product. My new born would feed on one side and constantly kick the haaka off spilling the precious milk all over both of us. I switched out to the boon trove which I could slip inside a nursing bra. It was so much more stable. I would not recommend the haaka

So much milk
I love it. It catches so much milk. I even use it at night to pump a little while my husband feeds a bottle so I don’t have to break out the electric pump in the middle of the night. I get anywhere from 0.5-4 ounces depending on the time of day and length of the nursing session. I just suction it on as soon as baby starts on the other side. Only negative thing I will say is it’s hard to manage and have baby not kick it off or sometimes (rarely) it loses suction and falls off and makes a mess. Also, I noticed the longer I have had it- it is harder to keep a good suction. But I love it - also- Buy two!!

Una excelente opción para recolectar la leche del pecho mientras estás extrayendo del otro.

I am on my third baby - but the first time using this pump. I love it. I bought it after my old Avent one packed up and I couldn’t rent a hospital grade Medela one like I usually do (not available due to parts shortage). It’s a bit slower than an electric pump, but only marginally. But the pros are massive: it’s so small, no plugs or batteries, it’s completely silent so does not disturb anyone, including the baby, there are no small parts so it’s easy to clean. I love that it can be used for storage and it’s so easy to pour out the milk without losing a drip. It will be a breeze to take on holiday. And if ever I have to travel away from the baby it will be good to use on the plane or train discreetly under a jumper. No more expressing in horrible toilet cubicles. Great value compared to manual / electric pumps and a great product.

First time mother of a one month old, who has been exclusively breastfeeding. I'm not ready to start pumping yet, and had heard this recommended by various parents groups, so thought it would be good to start with due to its simplicity to use and clean. So far I have found it to be exactly as described and perfectly suited for my needs. After using during four feeds, I was able to freeze four 3oz/80ml bags. I should be able to build up a good stash just from catching my letdown, and may not even need to pump! The suction base is very useful; I can stand it beside me between feeds, and be confident it won't be knocked over in the fridge. The cap is handy to keep the haakaa sterilized after cleaning and the milk safe. The only issue I have found so far is that the suction can be a bit painful, and it can make my nipples more sensitive for feeds. This could be something I'll adjust to from regular use, or I may just need to reduce the frequency and spread it out a bit more to give my boobs a break. Either way, I'm happy with my purchase :)

Please don’t order blindly like I did.. this is only 1 product, the wording makes it seem like you get 2 for £20+ which would make sense as others as selling for £12.99 for 1 but essentially you are paying £8 for a lid that doesn’t seem worth it at all. The product itself is fine I just feel very cheated off my money
