If you are asking if it is bpa free or any of the other healthy plastics, then I would not recommend this product. However, it does cure incredibly hard. It is a strong chemical process. I wear a chemical respirator when pouring it

What is the shelf life of this product after open?

Alas, the enclosed use and safety material does not say! My memory from something off the website tells me it's something like "use within a year of opening." Of course they -- and I -- recommend their dry gas life extender. But the loose time estimate is not how I use casting resins-- I am happier when it's a long time.

Im trying to make clear pistol grips, is there a suggested mold kit or type that should be used?

Micro Mark has a reasonable, all-in-one kit (that only needs a small gram scale) that will do any job. The complication is only what type of grip are you attempting? If flat, easiest possible. A larger one-piece or wrap-around type-- insanely complex for a first time. Study up on tutorials and you'll see what I mean. Hardly impossible and the materials are more forgiving than ever but, for example a Hogue wrap around type is a real pain no matter your experience level. so study up and see if you can start on something small first-- merely to get your "work flow" down.

Will the epoxy remove easily from a silicone mold? Also, can the cure time be decreased by increasing the temperature?

Yes, the epoxy removes very easily from a silicone mold. Also, I have heard that increasing the heat will speed up the cure time, but I haven't tried it, so you could give it a go.
