I bought this over 5 years ago, I used it as an external light from dusk to dawn every day and it has performed flawlessly. Blew yesterday so I'm here to buy another one. Highly recommended!

I bought this to replace my dead 100W bulb on my front porch and was excited to see 500W in action. However, once installed, it was maybe twice as bright at best, certainly not what I'd expect a 500W bulb to be. Disappointed but will keep it as it is. Not worth the effort to return and purchase another 100W bulb. update: I've upped this to 4 stars as its still going strong 2 years on.

In video it does not look bright but I can assure you it is very bright if your using it for photography it is perfect can light a whole room very good - the reason why I have taken this video is cause of the noise that comes from the light - for those that’s wondering what the noise is, I am also experiencing read other reviews it seems I’m not the only one - i gues its normal since it makes the room really bright . For me for what the product is I say is perfect except the noise, in terms of size and durability it looks good and I think it will last and it’s good value for money I think is worth this price since it’s looks like good quality but like I said the noise is ….. Functionality is on point works the way it should work - like I said for photography is perfect a normal uk sized room will be fully lit making it look like day light but consistent. So far I recommend it. if for any reason the light breaks sooner then expected I will Update the review for others but so far is good except the noise

Good replacement for 70W sodium Street light. Good bright light, however, it only lasted around 6 or 7 months. It should last longer than this in my opinion. I have a second bulb in now so will see how long this lasts

Did not read about the built in fan that hisses very noises.But it it's going to be in my airing cupboard but bright is not the word blinding

Adaptor for the buld broke before I could finish screwing it into the socket.. not very strong 😕

Bulbs used to convert existing faulty 150watt metal Halide car park lights to LED. Light levels excellent and running costs only 33% of old lights. I replaced a number of lights this time last year and they are still burning as bright as ever. The savings in electricity have exceeded the cost of the bulbs, so they have paid for themselves within 12 months.

I like the brightness and i dislike the noise coming out from it.

i didn't know there was a fan built into this thing. maybe it was written and i forgot. anyway, fan works and the light screws in a regular light socket. fan isnt annoying. light is brighter than the sun. seriously... dont look at it when you screw it in place.

Very bright but they make a fan noise and I'm guessing that's to cool them down. We used them in our shop with 12ft ceiling and we have had them for 4-5 months now and they are a way better solution than regular 300w bulbs.

I bought 2 cool white bulbs. The are very bright. You may want a (well ventilated) light diffuser over these as looking directly at them is uncomfortable and probably not a good idea. They throw off a lot of light and the internal fans in both of them are still running well and are almost inaudible.

this thing is sweet. super super bright, nice white light. just installed it so i cant comment on the longevity of it, but it lights up nice and bright instantly in the cool garage. its not monstrous either, its just a little longer then a regular light, and not any wider. really good size.
