Worked great and easy to use

I cut alot of trees on my property. And use this to pull them away from the road. By going around another tree. Working okay so far.

So I do a lot of winching things into my pickup and into my 1 ton dump truck. I got this rope saver thinking it would be great for the times when I run a winch from my rear receiver hitch to a snatch block in the bed of the truck. This will work great in the winch side of the block but it doesn’t work in the side you’re pulling the actual object up a ramp etc because obviously when the hook/winched item reaches this pulley block it interferes with it, potentially destroying it. They show it being used on a roof edge, which is great if you’re pulling from the roof but don’t need your pull to go up and over the roof because again, once your hauled object reaches this block it can’t pass over it. Now if you’re pulling wire or flexible conduit that’s a different story. They also show this being used on a flat surface. But the two nylon rollers actually touch each other when it’s laid flat so they want to push each other in opposite directions when rolled, not ideal. One third thing, I really wish they had a plate in the back of them where you could screw/bolt it down to a 2x4 or some other block for quick clamping/securing. The carabiner rope option they give you is basically a joke. I will probably come up with some angle brackets that let me use the carabiner holes as bolt holes and mount this to a bigger base. All that aside I think it is a useful item for material handling in specialized situations. Oh, and the rope they give you is a joke, it mind as well be clothesline.

Maybe I used it wrong but it didn’t feel any lighter than just lifting the box
