I have to say that Claxton's fruit cake has to be the best fruitcake I've ever tried. It is very flavorful and loaded with all of the "good stuff" that makes fruit cake so unique. The loaves were nicely packaged and come on a decorative box. But it's their fruit cake itself that really seals the deal. It has wonderful, moist texture and freshness. The flavor is not overly sweet, and has a satisfying complexity to it. Even if you haven't been a fruit cake fan, Claxton's may change your mind about it, and show what you've been missing!

Lots of fruit and nuts. Just enough dough to hold the fruit and nuts together into a nice fruitcake. The dark is a bit sweeter due to the presence of molasses. I like both the light and dark equally. The only problem with these is that my wife insist of monitoring my consumption and forces me to spread out eating them over several days. Left alone, I could easily finish one of these a day.
