Pretty impressive.
It took me a while to interpret the instructions that came with this devise, but when I finally gave it a try it worked. Like all electronic things these days there is a significant delay between the time a button is pressed or a switch is flipped and the desired function materializes. The dimmers on the two separate light sources are not very sensitive or workable. They seem to get in the way inasmuch as you can easily turn them on or off when you have no intention to do so. The magnification and picture quality are acceptable. Some place within the instructions you will find a statement that the maximum magnification is 16x. The advertisement on Amazon says 1200x. Here is how I resolved that discrepancy: I placed a 150mm rule in the field of view of the microscope. Next I attached the microscope to a HMDI television monitor with the included HMDI line. One millimeter showed up on the large screen with a 500 millimeter space between the lines that mark the beginning and end of one millimeter on the rule. So I guess you could call that 500x or 500 power. I should add that 500 was not the limit. It could have gone higher but then I would have had nothing to look at or measure on the screen. I would have been looking purely at the space between the lines, but not at any line. I am using this to view the edges of knives that I sharpen. It works very well for that. But I need a more versatile method of illumination to look at knives. I am sure I will figure it out.

Full Coin (DOLLAR) to extreme closeup
The TOMLOV DM201 Pro HDMI Digital Microscope is perfect for my uses. It is easy to assemble, use and to record images. It works as described and is a joy to use. I like that you can use the camera without having to have it plugged in, since the unit has built in rechargeable batteries. I seem to get a couple of hours of use between charges. I like the unit a lot. The only thing I would change is to make the stage a little wider and when I have time I will make a new one that is larger. All in all, I love using the microscope. It is a joy to see the high resolution images and extreme magnification of the coins to point out pros and cons.

Excellent microscope for circuit boards
Up front, I did have an issue where the lights in the base stopped working, but I reached out to TOMLOV through their email and they IMMEDIATELY responded and got me a replacement base so I'm very impressed with their customer service. The version I received in Dec 2022 did not have a removable battery but it did have USB-C connectors for the microscope and the base. Very impressed by the screen clarity, was very easy use and I love the HDMI output to push to a screen to see more detail or for training. Also really like the ability to connect to the USB and use as a webcam. You can also record and take pictures straight to the provided micro SD card. The light control being in the stand was initially a problem for me working on circuit boards, I kept changing the illumination. But I recessed it into the table and put an anti-static pad on it and then that wasn't an issue for me. Definitely recommend this product, I enjoy using it and I am impressed by their customer service.

Great microscope for electronics
I found this microscope to be great for electronics work, soldering and inspecting. The image quality is excellent and the display gives a sharp and detailed image. You can move the microscope far enough from the working area so you can freely use soldering tools underneath, and it has a digital zoom, which allows you to get additional magnification from further up, which is an excellent feature. The ability to position the lights at any angle is also an excellent feature as it allows me to get just the right illumination to clearly see markings on chips, etc. The only issue I had with it was the image saving option to the microSD card. It would sometimes refuse to save to the card, and I had to reformat the SD card on a computer to be able to save to it again. Some improvements I would love to see to this product: 1. A larger base 2. The ability to move the microscope further out towards the front of the base 3. It would be better if the display was located further back as it's really close to your eye when working on front of it After using this for 6 months, I would highly recommend this product.

Move over magnifying glasses
Purchases as a gift for my father. My dad was using a magnifying glass to look at objects, and this seemed to be a better fit for him. Made a great combined birthday / Fatherโs Day present.

micro hdmi port microscope
This microscope tomlov 201 pro? with 10" extension works great for seeing whole coins up close. Easy setup... I'm using right now as a beginner coin searcher after grandpa left me jar after jar of older coins that seem to have value on YouTube. You need this as too hard and unproductive to see errors any other way. We'll see how well i do with luck? I will look for the golden ticket with this all error seeing tomlov microscope. For hdmi connection to your TV ๐บ you will need micro hdmi to hdmi adapter or cable which you will be able to find on amazon.

Better than expected. Very satisfied after a couple hours.
A darn cool birthday present for myself. I didn't get one that could magnify 2,000 times, in favor of this one with more whistles and bells. I like the idea of a remote if for no other reason it will keep the unit more stable during filming or pictures. I especially liked hooking it up directly to my big screen via hdmi, but the seven-inch screen seems like it'd be enough for most circumstances. So far so good, but I haven't tried outputting to a phone, and I'm not sure I ever will. I also haven't tried charging the main unit yet, and either the two extra lights need to be plugged in to a five volt source or they came without a charge, not sure if these even are meant to be charged. The sliding dimmer switches are pretty neat too. It ain't a fancy laboratory microscope, but it sure is darn cool, especially when you can't afford a good macro lens for your Canon camera. I do plan on mounting this to a tripod though, and going outdoors, which brings me to the power source: The description says this unit plugs in for power, but it's also completely portable, with a rechargeable battery. So I guess I'm going to have to go capture some outdoor images of bugs and flowers and rocks and bark and stuff. Maybe tomorrow. I read a couple things about it not being real sturdy, or made from plastic or something, but I wouldn't worry about that. It seems fairly well made and sturdy to me. Also the design seems pretty well thought out. Now I just hope it lasts past it's one year warranty.
