Sturdy and heavy like I like it.
This trash can is beautiful. It was well packaged and arrived without scratches or dents. It works well and is heavy, which I like. The foot pedal functions well and it slowly closes when you let it go. I love the inner can as it helps with keeping the inside clean and it’s easy to pull the bags out. This is perfect for my kitchen.

Great as far as trash cans go
Love the size. Love the matte finish. We have this against a wall and the lid doesn't mark it up like other trash cans have. Just wish 16 gallon trash bags were cheaper and easier to come by. I've found that Glad's 13 gallon bags stretch easily over the can though.

Perfect for me!
I love this garbage can! I wanted one with a step, self-close lid that would also stay open. And big enough to hold a fair amount of garbage so I didn't have to toss it every day. This is perfect! The lid stays open--you can open it with your fingers and push it back or you can open with the step, then release the step and push it back. Then close when ready. Or you can open with the step and it will softly close. I almost bought a different one, but read in the reviews that it would flip back more than 90 degrees and hit the wall. This one doesn't do that. I've used HDX 18 gallon and Commander 30 gallon trash bags on it. The HDX you do have to really STRETCH it over the last corner, or just cut one string handle. You can still use the other string to close it and then tie it up. The Commander is plenty big to fit, just tuck the excess through the hole in the top back of the liner. I like the stainless finish and highly recommend this garbage can.

Looks nice but
It looks nice and the foot mechanism works well. The basket inside is difficult to get out and it’s also difficult to wrap your trash bag around the lip of the basket.
