I have to use refractometers at work on a daily basis. We have the red sea and the d&d versions. This one does the same job for way less cost. I do find i need to recalibrate it a bit more often, but that honestly is not a big deal, takes like 2 seconds.

When i first received this i thought it was faulty, the enclosed instructions state to calibrate screw the knob until its zeros. I tried turning knurled nob which didn’t move, so i went back to the product page and saw that it was inside this knob that needed adjusting with a screwdriver (supplied with kit, under the three pipettes) now its zeros perfectly. I feel that the 7% one star reviews are maybe due to people trying to adjust the knurled knob. Device works great if set up correctly and I’m 100% pleased with it

Just setting up 1st marine tank. So this is all new to me. The refractometer comes with a plastic case and 3 pipettes and simple instructions. I first focused it for my eyes and then checked the calibration and it was spot on. Then tested the salt level in my tank and added some more salt to bring up to the correct level. The refractometer is simple to use. Just add a drop or 2 of liquid an stand under a bright light when you take the reading. Wipe of the liquid before putting back in the case. I have no way to check the accuracy , but I feel confident it is ok.

First you need liquid to clean then set it at 0 then do reading and it works well

Really good piece of kit, wondered wether it was worth taking a chance on a “cheap” one, but it does exactly what it says on the tin. Really simple calibration. Recommended

I bought one of these to keep on top of my salinity. I check it every fortnight and it does the job, the instructions are clear I recalibrate every month with RO water to ensure I get the correct level. Easy to use treat yourself happy fish keeping.

Had this tested with other marine shop to verify and was even close. Yes it was calibrated to zero . Return was made. Be careful with your reef equipment Quality it was very light . Not much more . Obviously was good enough

Appareil reçu ce jour. Marche parfaitement. J arrive même à l utiliser avec des lunettes de vue, il faut penser à tourner la lentille pour faire la mise au point. Les données ont l air cohérentes pour mon terrarium avec sa partie eau de mer

メーター式の水に沈めて測るものもありますが、こちらはスポイトで採って測るもので、水の中に手を突っ込む必要がまずないので手も濡らさずに済んで非常に取り回しが良いです。海水魚を飼育していますが、測量も正確なのでオススメです。ただ本品の仕様上明るい場所で計測することが大切で、変に暗い場所で行うと上手く測れないことがあります。とはいえ、室内灯で全然大丈夫ですのでほぼ問題にはなりません。

LLegó rapidamente, muy bien embalado y con un estuche para guardarlo. Es barato fácil de utilizar al llegar lo calibré con agua destilada aun no lo usé porque lo compré para medir la sal de la piscina.

Un accessorio utile e indispensabile da avere sempre a portata di mano quando si ha un acquario marino ( nel mio caso un nano reef). Avendo una vasca da 50 litri l’evaporazione dell’acqua e veramente elevata e siccome il sale non evapora rimanendo in vasca bisogna sempre tenere sotto controllo la densità dell’acqua. Grazie a questo fantastico strumento che funziona mettendo delle gocce prelevate dal nostro acquario direttamente sulla linguetta e poi attraverso una lente osservare la densità presente. Un consiglio che vi do è quello di pulire con acqua osmotica lo strumento perché l’acqua salata è molto corrosiva ed andrà a rovinare lo strumento stesso. Sono rimasto veramente soddisfatto da questo strumento anche per come ti arriva a casa ovvero in una pratica custodia con all’interno un cacciavitino per tarare lo strumento( già tarato dalla casa produttrice quindi non usatelo al momento, anzi per fare un controllo se lo strumento è tarato bene mettete qualche goccia di acqua osmotica e controllate se è a 0 in questo caso è tarato bene) 3 pipette per prelevare dei campioni d’acqua è un panno per pulire eventuali gocce d’acqua. Questo strumento si è meritato 5 stelle e lo consigliero’ a molte persone. Spero di esservi stato d’aiuto nella vostra scelta :)

Användre den till att mäta salthalten i mitt saltvattens akvarie. Den är lätt att läsa av och fungerar väldigt bra.
