Allegro Coffee Organic Cafe La Duena Whole Bean Coffee, 12 oz

I had never heard of this coffee until the day I purchased it. It was featured as an Amazon special. It’s coffee, so the likelihood of it being terrible is slim to none. However…. I was entirely surprised as the bag had the typical, “Notes of” flavors and the like which more often than not are not accurate. This product is especially good as it is exactly as advertised, with a non acidic finish. Hot or cold this is an amazing product. I highly recommend as the flavor profile hits all the best notes. Caffeine content isn’t off the charts, which means you can drink it before going to bed without suffering consequences. Is it free trade organic? It says it is. Will I buy it again, Absolutely. In fact I am probably going to create a stockpile because sure as I am sitting here writing this review, they’ll stop making it. There are indeed hints of Cacao in it, as well as more subtle notes of hazelnut, without there actually being any in it. Wherever it is grown, the soil is clearly rich in nutrients because the flavor is vibrant. I have been drinking coffee for 40 years, and for 35 of it professionally. I am a coffee snob, and while I am a nobody, I can tell you what makes an excellent cup of coffee. There is no bitterness. I drink my coffee plain because I want to taste it. If you add cream, or anything, you’re drinking coffee for the wrong reasons. This coffee compares to some of the more expensive brands and meets them on equal or superior footing. That being what it is, this product is amazing. If you want to impress someone with a cup of coffee, this would be what I would use.

I buy this one often and will likely continue to do so. Both great taste and smell, I think it every morning. I love that it's a medium roast. It feels like a lot of organic coffee these days is either medium-dark or dark. Highly recommended!

When we received this it was expired. Contacted amazon and they refunded us for our purchase, so that was nice. We still tried this coffee even though it was expired. It was delicious! Highly recommend this coffee brand. Only reason I gave 4 stars was because it was expired when we got it.

I normally drink Starbucks coffee as it is consistent and makes a pretty good cup of coffee. I had two missed orders since inventory was low, so went into coffee panic mode. I ordered some other brands as I can't run out of coffee. This one I liked a lot. It had a bold flavor - perfect for waking up. I normally use a Bunn coffee maker. This worked well with a medium grind. I also tried it as espresso - very good. I will probably order this again. It does cost a bit more - but the quality is very good. Now my go-to Starbucks has a challenger. The challenger tastes better to me. Game on.

I love this coffee I put a pinch of cinnamon with it to brew, my mom used to do that, is good for us! Taste sooo good! Organic, best coffee ever! 🥰

Best coffee ever and has been taken off the shelves of even natural food store shelves. Feeling thankful to find this again. It is fresh and quite a delight. Even my adult children love it as much as I do !

I found that no matter how I brewed these beans I always got a bitter cup. Could be a bad batch that I got. I may try again. The Allegro brand is very good.
