I bought this for many reasons. I am a woman and I tend to do whatever I can for others. Not to mention I have to drive I'm some pretty major cities with high crime rate. However.. Crime is EVERYWHERE. It's now being EXPOSED just how many people out there who really are out to commit evil acts to people all the time for many different reasons intentions. When I got it I actually had to have my fiance go Test it outside because I was scared to test it out myself for the first time because I was in a car accident in June and so I've been suffering from some Trauma due to an irresponsible wreckless criminal. So I tend to get very upset or anxious even if people talk to me in a loud tone or if the dogs, music,tv etc is too loud. So he went outside and pulled the pin and well it did its job lol, loud, noisy, caused a ruckus with our 3 dogs. And it is loud especially if someone isnt expecting it but since I was expecting it to be pretty alarming and watching at the same time. Also, I highly suggest that if you have a family member who is in a nursing home. I highly suggest this because I have been in the NURSING field so I know how loved ones get lack of care, and call lights get ignored or dismissed without going to check the patient. So.. these loud and noisy things are enough to get anyone attn. Perfect tool for those who want to have a hidden tool in a case of being attacked.

I bought this little device to hopefully to ward off any crazies that are out there, especially this time of year when people would rather steal you blind than look at you. The first one I received didn't work at all when I pulled the pin. The flashlight barely flickered so I'm assuming that the batteries included were dead. No problem with the return, it went smoothly and I was immediately sent another one. I prepared myself for an ear deafening noise when I pulled the pin. While it is loud, it wasn't as loud as I thought it would be and quite honestly, I'm not real sure it would deter an attacker. I have attached it to my key chain and I suppose all I can do is hope for the best if someone were to come at me. I don't have a concealed weapons permit and really don't want one. My husband has one, but that doesn't help me if I'm out alone. I'm hoping this will do the trick if God forbid, anything ever happened and I would need to use it. It's made well but I'm just not sure it's enough to scare someone off.

First off, this item came earlier than expected. This item is packed great in a small box. If you are a woman, an elderly person or just anyone that would like to make sure that if someone tries to attack you, you are able to grab one's attention for help, this is the product to have. It is actually pretty inconspicuous and you never know the amount of power that this personal alarm has. The pin is secure enough that it will not just come off by itself however, if the time comes, you can easily remove the pin. This alarm sound is extremely loud and would definitely get someone's attention. For the price and the quality of the product, I would recommend this for sure.

My family and I just returned from vacation and I wanted to take it "just in case." Thankfully nothing happened, but I did a test run of the alarm before leaving, and it's definitely powerful enough to alert or frighten someone. The light is excellent, we used it several times. Unfortunatley, the world we live in today, we must be vigilant about protecting ourselves and our loved ones and take precautionary measures. Anyone can use it, from children walking home from school to a senior citizen for emergencies. Overall, I think this personal alarm is impressive!

The personal alarm is a great idea but I personal think the sound should be a bit louder if being used for emergency purposes. The concept of the alarm is great and will help in some situations. I do think that it is a great idea and can work for situations that involves a person being in a quit environment. In a environment that is much louder it may not work at well because unfortunately some bystanders hearing the alarm may misinterpreted the sound for a toy.

This little alarm really makes me feel more confident when walking alone. Not only is is convenient and small, it is very light. No one would even notice you are carrying it. I take it with me when I walk my dog at night (especially with it getting dark so early). It is much louder than I could ever scream! It also has a tiny light I can use to find my key when I get home. You can use it anytime or anywhere...on the bus, subway, concert... it’s just really convenient and gives you the sense of empowerment.

Although it is a small device that I didn't think would work well, it definitely emits enough noise to scare away an unsuspecting threat. About the size of a key fob - maybe just a bit bigger, I like how the pin is easily pulled away by the key ring. There is enough resistance to not accidentally dislodge in your purse or hand, but easy enough to release if pulled from your hand or by you in time of panic. There is also a handy led light that is bright enough to light your path or keyhole. The only reason I rated it 4 instead of 5 is the wrist strap. I have small hands and I struggle to get it over my hand. It would be a much better application to have put a sliding lock instead of a permanent crimp.

This item is pretty cool. For its compact size, it's really loud. If you keep your keys on your belt, attach your keys to the item and they will never be stolen. It's also a really good item to prank people with. Pros: Really Compact Very Loud Easy to use Cons: The pin is pretty sensitive. It comes out a little too easy for my liking. The 3 cell batteries. (I don't tend to have spare cell batteries lying around. So when it dies I have to go buy new batteries.) Other than that, it's a pretty cool item!
