I particularly loved that there are festive recipes of Holi and Eid along with the pickles most loved in the region. Just be careful about the measurements in the recipes as the older ways of measuring ingredients doesn’t translate well into modern measurements. Review: Excellent book. - Gift for my loving family.

Extremely detailed description of Awadhi cuisine
A fascinating account of the cuisine of Awadh, along with lengthy descriptions of its history and that of its various zamindari families. It seems as if each zamindari had its own regional speciality, which the author has highlighted.
