Perfect for power chewers
We purchased this for our power chewer as he's developed a bit of separation anxiety after his knee surgery. I have to say it works like a charm, we load it up with treats before he leave him alone, it gives him something to do for half an hour, after which he's so tired he falls asleep. We also use it for feeding him dog food sometimes, and in summers we freeze a meat and veggie combo and let him at it in the heat. It's been a big help in satisfying his chewing needs, he's barely made a dent in the product, even though it's been used every single day for a year. It's been bounced and thrown and used as a plaything, and frozen and thawed, still is the same as it was when we bought it, very happy with all my kong products.

Safe for heavy chewers
I got a new lab puppy and he seemed to chew through all of his toys. It's extremely dangerous to leave dogs unattended with toys that they can ingest at any time. Even more so for heavy chewers like labradors. So a kong was the best option and it's been 5 months since I bought it and it barely has a scratch. It's the only toy I feel comfortable and safe leaving him unattended with. All this is aside from the fact that it's bouncy and fun for him to try and take treats out of. It's worth the price as it's really durable

Durable. Dog loves it.
Edit:1 year and 3 months later... Still working as good as new. My dog is totally into it. Great product. Very very durable product and my dog loves playjng with this and is engaged for hours because of this toy... Fill it up with treats. Sugarless peanut butter. Freeze chicken broth in the summers.... Play around with your dog with the kong as a ball... This is really the best.

My doggy absolutely loves this
Quite sturdy stuff. My Belgian Malionois absolutely loves it. It's his tool to avoid boredom. He destroyed the medium chewer type (red one) in 45 days. Thankfully this one is going strong. Although I would have loved to have "extreme" type in red/pink colour.

Great, but TOO COSTLY.
Extreme-ness confirmed. My 9 month old Lab is a compulsive chewer and it doesn't even bear a scratch. It even has an unpredictable bounce to make it a backyard fetch toy. It's good in many ways but doesn't live up to its cost, to be frank. My only issue is that Kong's not a super toy. He has many other toys, most of which are cheap and withstand him (for eg: Super Dog Spiked Rubber Dog Ball (Color May Vary) which even has something that makes it smell pleasant all the time, however long it stays in my pooch's mouth.) It's made of tyre-like material and smells exactly like it. So if you have a pup/dog who has a short attention span, don't count on Kong to be his favourite toy forever. Sure he may be engaged for a day or two. But your furniture is still not safe. Also, kibble dispensing isn't as effective. Pro tip: Insert a piece of roti or bread in the end to slow down their speed.

It is truly value of money
Kong esteem dog toys as its review suggests one of the toughtest dog toys. My fido is a heavy chewer, no toys withstand infont of her more than 15- 20 minutes. I brought this toys a few weeks ago. She loves to play with this as the kong is not only used as stuffed toys but fetch toys also as it is made of natural rubbery material hence bounced. It is made of natural rubber hence non toxic and dish wash washable.

Product size is too small even for large toy but ...
Product size is too small even for large toy but my lab loves to play with it. Price is too much for this small size.

Perfect for my Indian Pariah Dog (desi dog)
Perfect for my Indian Pariah Dog (desi dog). I stuff all kinds of goodies in there & give it to him with a layer of yoghurt applied & he loves every bit of it since the first day. Kong & my Pariah seem like meant for each other. This really is an indestructible dog toy & you can play fetch with it indoors as well. Keeps him occupied for hours & he hasn't been able to leave even a scratch on this thing. Must have for all dog owners.

Great for Excessive Chewers and Eaters
I decided to get the Kong Extreme toy for my then 9-year-old dog in Sept. 2010, after her older sister passed away a few days before. I figured we both could have used the distraction. I learned ages ago that most toys couldn't hold up against my two Australian Cattle Dogs, since they didn't just happily gnaw on things, they'd try to eat it. In fact, they tried to eat a number of things, from fabrics to meticulously eating the lining off tennis balls and soft balls. Nothing was safe, especially against the youngest, who has some OCD issues. I'd be lucky to see a tough toy last a day, much less a month. Like the rest, I didn't think this toy would stand a chance, but it's still holding up well almost a year later. My dog isn't a strong chewer, like a doberman or pit, but very meticulous. She and her sister would go at something for hours if you let them, until nothing was left. Because of this, I also need to choose soft toys, rather than something hard, because she'll wear her teeth down if you let her. Fortunately, this manages to stand up to her obsessive chewing, but it also doesn't wear the teeth down, which I love. I'm thinking of getting a new one, even though the current could probably last another few months. I'm just now seeing some wear along the seams, despite her every effort to conquer and destroy it. I'm mainly getting it just to be on the safe side, so that I don't risk it falling apart while I'm not watching her, and just for the sake of cleanliness. These are extremely durable and easy to clean. They do have a strong odor when you first open them up, but it fades relatively quickly. I let ours soak it in hot/vinegar water for a while, then rinsed it well and left it out in the sun for a few hours. Seemed to help a little. They can also be loud when dogs chew on them, which can be annoying if you're trying to watch TV, but I find it well worth it, even if my partner doesn't agree during football time. I love the fact that these toys bounce unpredictably, although I would be careful around furniture if you plan to bounce it off the floor or toss it. I got into the habit of using it down our long hallway, referring to it as Dog Bowling, which she loves. She also didn't need food as incentive to get into it (just me playing with it and making it out to be a big deal), which is great, since that just means less cleaning and less weight gain in my book, although I do put treats in it now and then, if my partner and I are leaving the house and plan to be gone awhile. My dog's around around 30 lbs. and is medium sized, but has had no trouble tackling the larger-sized version, which was the only size available through Amazon at the time. I may get the medium-sized toy soon, just because she's reaching 10 and she'll go at it for ages. This is a great toy for obsessive chewers in particular, and I highly recommend it to dog lovers. I just wish we'd found out about them sooner! I'm also happy to report that she has stopped chewing on random things), like blankets and clothing, as much as she used to. If she does start up, it's because she can't find her Kong. I may also get the bone version and will review on that if I do.
