This work presents the first scientific, objective approach to market forecasting with the Elliott Wave Theory. The Theory, as introduced by R.N. Elliott in the early 1930's, defines, quantifies and classifies the seemingly random undulations of mass psychology (market action) into visual patterns. Unfortunately, in its original form, many concepts and ideas concerning real-time application of the Elliott Wave Theory were left to the analyst to discover. After over a decade of exhaustive research, real-time trading and teaching, author Glenn Neely has greatly expanded upon and refined the concepts first discovered by R.N. Elliott to help you more accurately apply them to your trading and investments. For the first time, these concepts are presented in a logical, step-by-step fashion in the actual order they should be applied to a chart. Consequently, all guess work typically associated with the Wave Theory has been eliminated for you. If you yearn for both a greater understanding of the dynamics of price action and an ability to accurately forecast future price action, this book will help you achieve that goal like no other. It is widely regarded as the most complete explanation of Elliott Wave Theory available...and a feast for both novice and experienced Elliotticians alike. Review: Impressive and Requires Commitment - I am not a trader. I invest for the long term. I subscribe to the NeoWave forecast and find it useful for keeping me calm about what is happening in the markets and for making investment decisions. I was intrigued by Glenn Neely's methodology so I decided to study his method and ordered the book. I have read about Elliott Wave before, but never got started with it until now. Neely presents a version of Elliott wave forecasting that seems more complex than the orthodox version, but there is a reason for this, as he applies a number of tests to the market structures revealed by the charts (which are created in Neely's unique manner) in order to zero in on the highest probability forecast. The book's copyright is 1990, but is still relevant today. Although Neely never published an update, he offers an inexpensive 12-video series recorded recently that goes over every chapter of the book, and this I consider an update of sorts. In the video series I discovered that the toughest chapter to get through (chapter 3, for those who have suffered through it) is a breeze if you adopt his updated process of starting with a long term chart, and from that, creating short term charts (from monthly to weekly, from weekly to daily). The book is heavy reading, and often put me to sleep. I discovered that re-reading chapters, re-watching the videos, and studying the weekly forecasts is an effective way for me to "get" the material. And once I "got" it (and got through chapter 3!), I was excited for the rest of the book. This is a beautiful book, and if you are seriously considering the study of Elliott Wave I think you should add it to your bookshelf. Review: A Must Have! If you're an Advanced or Pro - I'd like to mention that this read is not your common trading book where you just pick it up, read all chapters and start applying it. Wouldn't that be nice? You may have to give it time for concepts and rules to start sinking in and finally start making sense. At first lots of unique rules and guidelines not present in the orthodox EW will slow you down a notch. In my view it is best to brake it down in distinct areas and get into it with no accountability of time... The publication is not very well organized. Mind that Mr. Neely isn't a professional writer nor pretend to be one, but the man dedicated a lot of his life studying the markets and layed down a wealthy of information in this book, that's what we came here for, kudos to Mr. Neely. The way you're going to embrace this material is subject to individuality and preference. Leave triangles for last? Skip chapters 1 to 3 and jump straight to 4? Read everything first then concentrate on whatever parts you see fit? Well, admitably everyone is different, that will be on you. If you are in a hurry or have no time to devote to this endeavor, do yourself and loved ones a big favor and don't even start (believe me, I'm trying to be helpful here). As you gradually learn the new concepts, rules, technics and then start contiously and automatically applying it to the markets, results will slowly show up, feels like magic sometimes. Price x Time relationship is a big thing in Neo Wave and also a really fun thing to observe happening in the markets once you learn how to apply it. As an average Elliotist You will not really notice or understand its use or functionality until you learn how to utilize it to your own advantage. Note that you are probably going to start trading way less as you will be more aware of the right time or situation to get in or out of a trade. As In trading nothing is perfect or cut and dry as many like to pursue when you start taking time and price consideration into your trades, it becomes a hole new ball game, a stronger toolset to say the least. Reality check, be aware! This is NOT an easy study and if you're not a "dedicated scientist" of sorts, it might not work for you that easy... As final note, for those advanced or pros who will initiate this journey by assuming they will breeze through this publication, well, good luck with that! If you are an intermediate level or just beginning with Elliott, Gann etc., there are more suitable publications out there. Give it a few years and you will be fine. Remember there is no need for a Marcerati, an average working car will do just fine. Be aware that Mr. Neely wrote this guide at his early days into the game and has since acquired a lot more experience and discovered some new things even new market formations. According to Mr. Neely himself he does not intend to publish a new revised edition of his book but has made available on his company's website a wealthy of free additional information where you can absorb a host of extra info that are sometimes even better resumed/simplified than on the original book. Before you take advantage of that though, make sure you study his book througfully first, or the extra information may serve you no purpose or even have you more confused at best. I generally never write reviews, but this one was different. This is my sincere opinion and hopefully will help you some. See you out there! Chief

Magnificent book to help you get familiar with wave theory.
Takes you deeper into Elliot’s theory but has his own method of applying it.

Made 6-figures from March to October 2020 using NEoWave (aka, MEW)!
I closed my long trades two weeks ago at a high six-figure profit in both our retirement accounts (tax-free for now) and our family's individual investment accounts. Though I retired from trading in 2014 and was no longer a subscriber to NEoWave forecasting service, a more advanced form of Mastering Elliott Wave, Mr. Neely was considerate enough to warn his current and past clients in March that the markets may be entering the most treacherous investment environment we've seen in the past 30 years and that I better protect my retirement assets accordingly. I poured all my cash into the markets at the end of March. Using NEoWave (MEW) in April, he confirmed that a new powerful rally in the S&P had started AND it'll break the then-all time high of February. I poured the rest of available cash to various mutual funds. Last August, the S&P did lurch to new all-time highs, as NEoWave forecast. While I internalized the teachings of Mastering Elliott Wave, I must say it's dated, though still highly relevant/required in my trading. If I were a beginner, I would actually buy the e-book, absorb as much as I can, and then, take NEoWave's Advanced Elliott Wave course. That would be a billion times quicker to learn how to forecast (I don't say, "learn to trade," here, because forecasting and trading are two different things). I profit from MEW because I'm an experienced trader. I owe much of my wealth to my first purchase of MEW back in 1991 . There is no better general market forecasting method. It's brilliant. I think it's more brilliant now than even before I retired, because I don't second guess it as I did in the past. Glenn Neely still rocks! This is the time to learn NEoWave (MEW) because the markets are currently in the most predictable 5-year period of the past 40 years. Glenn Neely hasn't mentioned this yet: What follows in 5 years is also going to be the most predictable stock market bull market of our lives---greater than any bull market we've witnessed or studied before. You can only forecast (with precision) the stock markets for the rest of your life with NEoWave. Buy the e-book!

Don’t waste your time on this overly complicated confusion.
The author tried, but has made the subject so complicated that a reader is left struggling to comprehend and is most often unsuccessful in learning what they came to learn. Read Robert Prechter instead. It will astound you how simply you will be able to get the knowledge you came for.

A Masterpiece but could be better organized
A superb treatise of practical application of Elliott wave behavior, but one has to do a lot of traveling back and forth for certain rule applications. For example, there is quite a lot of information about different kinds of patterns, but it is scattered across many chapters. Also if Neely had included real life examples of actual markets it would have been even better. The chapter on the first set of rules could have been made a little more user friendly. All in all, an essential book for every aspiring market technician and theorist alike.

You will gain new and strange information... but!!
Difficult and complicated .. If you want to continue on his approach, you must participate in his direct courses, otherwise the book will not help you with anything due to the difficulty of its content

Excellent, especially if you know about EW already
I love this book, and learn something every time I open it. This has been especially helpful in my trading as I've navigated a difficult wave two and tried to make sense of the pattern(s) appearing on my screen. (It helped me see the 3-3-5 pattern that finally emerged, and I bought with confidence right before the three wave sent us skyward). It probably helps to know EW some and have some experience with it because the explanations can be complicated herein. Think of it like maths class. Every day is not a new day in maths. Every day we are building skills upon skills, in the same way we learn language. So it is here with EW, and Neely has delivered the master class.

Good book for a serious trader
Great book Must read for anyone who's into EW. This is a different take on EW, based on EW if that makes sense. Basic principles are same, adding on to the concept.
