Wowee!
This thing is a game changer. I built a catio and was just going to cut it by hand, but saw that this didn't cost a whole lot, so I tried it. WORKS GREAT. You have to get used to the positioning of the wire into the "mouth" of it a little bit, and it's kind of heavy, but I will never use a wire cutter for a bigger project again. This thing can cut wire so fast! It tells you how thick of a gage it can cut in the description, I think. Very happy with it. It also seems durable and I like that it is a plug in.

Fantastic tool
This is a plug-in Metal sheet. I have aviation snips, but I needed to cut a larger amount in a quicker time. This device does the job it makes a shallow cut and it rolls the metal up out of your way as it goes. Very efficient, and the price was great. Actual cutting head is adjustable so you can turn it and lock it down and hold the motor device at different angles it easier to use.

Good tool. Missing pieces.
The item itself works like it should. It cuts through 14g steel plate like butter. But the box the item was in arrived opened on one side. After reading what’s included inside the box and manual I noticed that the item should have came with replacement blades. Which it did not have. So that’s bummer. But otherwise it’s a good tool for what it’s worth.

Solidly Built - Does the Job
My wife found this Wild Edge metal shear on my Amazon wish list and surprised me with it. I was actually hesitant to place the order myself fearing this unfamiliar product might have exaggerated claims of quality and power. Not the case. I was very impressed with the build and performance of these shears. I cut some sheet metal from an old shelf a few weeks ago using my angle grinder. It took almost ten minutes of sparks flying all over the garage to end up with a jagged-edge sheet of 20 gauge metal about 12 by 24 inches. This Wild Edge Shear did the same job in thirty seconds! A very clean, easy cut with nice edges. I'm learning the trick to using this machine fluidly is the angle of attack on the cut. When that angle is just right, this shear cuts through metal like warm butter. I wish I had someone I trusted to tell me that this product is well built and will do what it's advertised to do. Allow me to be that person for you. I firmly believe you will be happy with this product purchase.

Not so good on uneven tin
Needed to cut sheets of roof tin. The Shear did a good job of cutting, however at places that were not level it was a bit harder to keep a straight line.

Good value for the money
Yeah this is good metal shearing tool for the money. The build quality is just as good as the Dewalt or Milwaukee. If you ask me for my opinion you’re just waisting your money buy purchasing those more expensive brands. Truth be told they are probably made in the same production plant. I just went downstairs and found a old license and it sliced right through it just like butter. Now I wanna emphasize that this metal shear is only made for “light duty”. Like ductwork, you know guys that cut metal to make ductwork for new homes. Now if you’re hoping to cut 1/4 plate steel, this is not the tool that you need. I think a lot guy’s buy stuff like this hoping to cut thick ass metal and then they get pissed when it won’t work. Well listen if you wanna cut thick stuff then you should probably get a jigsaw with a high temperature metal cutting blade or use cutting torches or a plasma cutter. It’s called being realistic about what you expect from your tools. This metal shear is no different than any other tool, it’s only meant to do so much and that’s it. If you actually break the little nibbler on this metal shear, then you’re trying to cut to thick of metal. Also if you want to buy a cordless battery powered power tool then expect to pay three times as much it. Now you can buy a metal shear at Harbor Freight somewhere what this costs, but then you have to purchase the battery and then the charger separately. So when you get through buy that stuff you are at $130 to $150 bucks. And you can do whatever floats your boat, it’s your money do whatever you want. But the purpose of my review is that this metal shear is old school and you have to plug it in, but it will do the same thing as those more expensive brands and it won’t break the bank if you know what I mean. And mind you that this is for light metal work. If you try to cut thick stuff then you’re only going to get upset and frustrated.

good cutting shears
First, I'm an older citizen and female and I was hesitant to buy this but due to fire I have to cut warped sheetmetal roofing in pieces in order to move them. This shears will go in whatever direction you put it and smoothly. The trigger pulls softly and I never lock it in place because it's easy to use without using the locking mechanism. I would buy again.

Decent enough
It's decent enough. It's a little finicky to work. The trigger doesn't always turn it on so you need to depress then press trigger a few times to get it to work. Once powered, sometimes it takes off and works great and sometimes it doesn't advance unless you rock it back and push it forward with a good amount of force (all cuts I made were the same gauge steel, maybe 18 gauge). If you get one you will know what I mean by "rock it back and push forward with a good amount of force". There is a slight amount of curling along the cut but nothing for me to complain about. I don't think I need this past my current project so it fits my needs. So far I've made about 120 feet of cut lines and it still works like it did when I made my first cut. Sure beats using an angle grinder to make cuts.

An okay tool for small flat projects
Tool was slow to arrive. Took several weeks. It feels solid/heavy. It cuts 29 gauge metal roofing easily along straight flat panel parts. It REALLY struggles to cut across panel ribs without either crushing the rib, or scraping off paint. Rotating the head is a bit of a chore...you need to loosen 3 Allen screws to do so, it’s not something you can easily do part way through a cut! Also, the package was missing the replacement blades when it arrived. Final thought: this will save my forearms when I have to rip a 16’ roofing panel, but won’t really help with cross cuts. For a $100 bucks...maybe worth it?
