Definitely Money Well Spent!
This is definitely money well spent! I'm in the process of refinishing an antique china cabinet and chifferobe and will be doing a fair amount of sanding inside my home. I needed a longer and more flexible hose to connect my sander to my shop vac; the hose that came with the shop vac was not working out. It was cumbersome to work around and either kinked or came off the sander outlet every time I moved to a different section. I definitely wasn't making much progress on my projects given the amount of time required to reconnect the hose to the sander and untangle the kinks. A day or so of that was more than enough to convince me that I needed a different setup so I started checking Amazon and found the Bosch VOC005 vacuum hose. The reviews of this hose were consistently high and the price was right plus my sander was a Bosch ROS20VSC and would be compatible with this hose. It arrived VERY quickly and was double boxed for protection . In fact, when I first saw how big the box was I actually wondered if I'd been sent the wrong item. Nope. Upon opening the very large outer box I found a second large box securely sealed and centered with air pillows inside. ( Both boxes were in perfect condition and will come in handy this christmas if my son doesn't nab them for his upcoming move!) The hose inside was perfect as well. It straightened out in all it's kinkless glory as soon as I pulled it out of box number 2. Hooking it to the vacuum was a cinche. Connecting the swivel end to the sander took a little longer but wasn't difficult. It looked too small but once I approached it from an angle and worked it on by rocking it side to side over the edges of the outlet it was a perfect fit. This thing will NOT be coming off accidentally. The length is wonderful. It's long enough to keep the shop vac out of my workspace. I sanded the inside of the china cabinet without once having to stop and reposition or reattach anything. Haven't even had to unkink a kink! I sanded well over an hour & a half and made up some of my lost time. To say I'm pleased is an understatement. I will probably retire the original hose and keep this one on the shop vac. It is not anti-static so keep that in mind if you are needing one for serious woodworking. For my purposes as a DIYer doing small projects this one is exactly what I need. I'm very glad I got this, it's worth it!

Great Value and Cheaper than Festool
Great hose and fits Festool vacuums. I used it to connect my Makita miter saw to a Festool Vacuum. Much cheaper than a OEM Festool hose. Flexible enough to run it from under my miter saw, up through a cabinet and into the saw.

Hose is awesome, plenty long
Received last week and used for the first time with my new Festool TS 55 REQ this last weekend. Had it hooked up to my Sears shop vac. I believe I used a 2 1/4" to 2 1/2" step up converter for the vacuum end (didn't measure, just grabbed one I had). Hose is awesome, plenty long, very flexible, good swivel on the tool end and while I didn't step on it, feels pretty tough if I did. What I received looks a bit diff than the Amazon pic on the tool end. I've posted a close up of the tool end (with and without the rubber step down end fitting) and a separate pic of the rubber end piece. You can take the rubber step down fitting off although it doesn't exactly "slip" off and goes back on just fine. The tool end ( with rubber end piece on) was a great fit on the TS 55 REQ (fits on the inside of the dust port as does the 27mm Festool hose as I understand it). It's much less expensive than the Festool equivalent and the only thing I'm missing is the anti-static feature (which wouldn't work anyway with my current set up). The rubber end piece looks very similar to Bosch VAC024 and could be identical. If you remove the rubber piece the opening is the exact same size as the dust port on my TS 55. Question to the Bosch rep who does a good job answering questions on this product. Is there a sleeve/coupler available which if I remove the rubber end part it slides over the end of the VAC005 (pic posted without rubber end piece) and the outside of the TS 55 REQ dust port (which would be identical to how I understand the 36mm Festool hose attaches and should be the same dimension as end of VAC005)? Any feedback appreciated. I would think an outside coupling would be more effective at collection than an inside coupling but, that said, the inside coupling worked awesome. There was virtually zero dust from the TS and I'm used to dust everywhere so this is nirvana (didn't even vacuum anything up after).

Limited compatibility with Festool -- works with Kapex, requires mods to work with HL850, too large for other Festool tools
I use this hose to connect my Kapex to CT26; initially, I used it to connect it to my RIdgid vacuum and bought this hose because Festool hose was not in the budget at that time. Now, with the knowledge of its limitations, I probably would not go the cheap route. On the vacuum end, it has a friction connector which happens to be universal size across US and Europe (it is a conical friction fit connector, and 2" in US happen to be within 0.8 mm from 50 mm in Europe, the difference being small enough to be absorbed by the conical design of the connector). It fits into US vacuums with a friction fit (most Shop Vacs), or could be connected to the end of the hose from my Ridgid vacuum with a 2" connector from a Home Depot which looks like a short piece of 2" pipe. It goes right into all Festool dust extractors (including CT26 and Midi) as well. On the other end, it has a connector which has limited compatibility with Festool, and you should mind the differences if you decide to buy this hose to use with Festool. It is very similar to the connectors which 27 mm Festool hoses ship with, but it is shorter (or rather, its diameter increases sooner than on Festool connectors). Consequently, it would not fit into HL850 planer dust port (it is not long enough to lock inside of the port). Note that all Festool 36 mm hoses have connectors which go on top of the dust port - this one, however, has a 27-mm like connector and has to go inside of the Kapex port, thus creating a bottle neck - a narrow opening in the air way. Finally, even though it might slide onto 27 mm dust ports of sanders or other portable tools, the hose is too large and heavy to replace the 27 mm Festool hose. The solution to make it work at its best with the Kapex, and to make it work with HL850 planer, is to buy "Festool 487721 Hose Sleeve, Reducing Sleeve For Antistatic D 36 Hose" and replace Bosch connector with a proper Festool connector. It is very easy to install, the hose screws right into it - just note that you have to rotate the hose clockwise to get it out, and counterclockwise to get it in (which is just the opposite to what you would assume). After that, it becomes a non-electrostatic hose just as Festool non-electrostatic hose. This Bosch hose is nominally rated 35 mm, whereas Festool claims that its hoses are 36 mm, but my experience shows that Festool connector fits Bosch hose. SUMMARY: Can be used to connect Kapex to Festool dust extractors or US vacuums, but connector is narrower than on Festool hoses of the same diameter. Does not work with the Planer at all. Not convenient to use with Festool portable tools (the hose is on the large and heavy side). Festool 36 mm connector can be purchased and installed instead of the Bosch connector, which makes it fully matching Festool non-electrostatic hose, but this shrinks the price gap with Festool non-electrostatic hose to the level at which one can as well buy a Festool hose.

This hose is awesome - virtually no mess to clean up!
This hose is awesome! It fits snuggly into the Bosch PL2632 electric planer exhaust port. I have it connected to my shop vac with a Rockler Dust Right dust separator in between the two and virtually had no mess to clean up after making multiple passes trimming the length of a door edge. Great accessory!

High quality vacuum hose
This hose has proven to be an invaluable addition to my toolkit, particularly when I'm working with smaller nozzle tools like a mini circular saw or sanders. The quality of this hose is exceptional, evident in its resilience and performance. I've never had to deal with frustrating kinks that disrupt the flow of air or materials, allowing me to maintain a smooth and uninterrupted workflow. What's even more impressive is its durability; I've accidentally stepped on it a few times, and yet, it remains intact without any signs of damage or compromise in functionality. This level of robustness is a testament to its construction, making it a reliable companion for my workshop needs. It's reassuring to have a hose that can withstand both the demands of various tools and the occasional mishap without skipping a beat. In essence, this hose has become an essential tool in my arsenal, consistently delivering high-quality performance, flexibility, and durability. It's the kind of equipment that any DIY enthusiast or professional would greatly appreciate for its reliability and resilience under pressure.

nice quality hose, interchange with Rockler system
This is a very nice quality hose that attaches directly to a shop vac or your dust collection system via a 2.25" fitting. This is the same size that fits into the shop vac floor and wand fittings. It will plug in directly to most Craftsman stlye shop vacs. The Bosch tool adaptor side fits perfectly in the dust-port for the Makita track saw, but doesn't fit much else. Even after many hours of study, I still don't understand the Bosch adaptor system. There are no adaptors I found useful for this hose other than the once that came with it. Even that doesn't fit any of my Bosch tools. I think their strategy is to force you to buy different size hoses for their different tools, which seems nonsensical to me. However, if you add the Rockler system for another $60, it fits pretty much everything in the shop, including the 7/8" (22mm) dust port on the Makita rotary sander (see photos). The Rockler adaptors screw firmly on to the Bosch hose, and you get an extra 12' hose to boot. The Rockler item number is 51170. I like the Bosch hose better, so I will be using that mostly. Unfortunately, the Rockler fittings are not sold separately. So there you have it - $100 for both kits, and you have a solution for dust collection on most if not all of your small tools.

Great substitute for the Festool hose
I originally bought the 27 mm Festool hose for $70, but then came across this one. I returned the Festool one and got this one. It's a much better bargain and has a bigger diameter. It works better because it allows for more suction. The picture does not accurately depict the hose. This hose has the exact same nozzle as a festool hose and fits festool machines perfectly. I actually connect this hose to my Shop vac (from Lowes) hose. It's a weird, but you have to go to Home Depot and buy a 3 in 1 package of connectors. I used the 4" long tube that connects one end of this hose to my shop vac hose. You could fit this into the shop vac, but there's no way to screw it in since the end of this hose is smooth and the shop vac hose uses a threaded end. All in all, this is a great deal for people who want to use this hose for festool products.

Good for the price
I leave this hose permanently attached to my ls1019 mitre saw, I use it to connect to a festool ctl26. It fits both connections perfectly. It's not as nice as the Festool hose but at 1/4 the price (36mm) it works well enough that I'm happy.

Nice hose
Works really well. I like the connectors. Hose is flexible enough without being too soft. Good length. Should last a long time. Would recommend.

Great lightweight hose
This hose is an excellent buy. It is made in Germany and is of great quality. Both ends swivel, which is great. The inside diameter is nice and big at 37mm. The length is exactly as stated, no stretching required. You will need an adapter to use the typical vacuum cleaner attachments, but that is no big deal.
