A Great Find!
The amount of attention to detail in this elegant design is astonishing. For example. It is constructed completely of stainless steel except for the wooden crank handle, the on/off selector knob which is some kind of molded hard polymer, and the four sticky silicone feet. It feels sturdy. It's thin guage material, but it's formed very thoughtfully and does not feel the least bit flimsy. It works great. The blades seem very sharp and the plate that grabs the vegetable or fruit is very effective at engaging and turning it. It is easy to clean when you are not working with syrupy foods. 1.) Turn it off, pull the twisty shaft/drive plate back. 2.) Verify the spiral cut blade is the one you want to use or change to a new one. (It's almost impossible to change the blade when the drive plate is near the blade.) 3.) Insert fruit or vegetable to be spiralized. 4).) Push the shaft tightly to engage with the vegetable/fruit. 5.) Turn the switch to On or Process. This engages the shaft so that turning the crank pushes the object through the cutting blade. 6.) Crank until most of the vegetable/fruit is spiralized. You will need to cut the ends of the vegetable/fruit off so that both ends are roughly parallel. The core comes out in a straight cylinder about 5 mm or 1/4 inch in diameter. For cucumbers or other vegetables whose seeds you don't want to eat anyway, this is a convenience. This thing is so much fun to work with you may invent new recipes or occasions to eat spiral cut things just to use it. I know I have.

Buy this. Toss the plastic junk.
I had a plastic spiralizer years ago and hated it. This excellent quality machine is much better designed and does a better job. I say that based on the one time my husband has let me use it! He is my sous chef and chief bottle washer and is very pleased with blade sharpness, ease of cranking, good counter suction and ease of cleaning. WellToBe listen up! The only con I have is the plastic blade storage protector. It's fine for shipping but not for home storage safety. It is only a shelf peg type blister pack plastic so you'll need to invent a better option for your safety. I'm still looking for something.

Easy to use
I had my doubt about all spiralizers but this gadget really took me by surprise! It's so easy to assemble and use! Making beautiful salad is now is easy. Although I did find out just now that I got two of the same blade #40. I'm trying to work it out with customer service. That's the reason for the four stars.

Spiralizer game changer!
I specifically searched for one of these spiralizer that was all metal construction. Mostly made with stainless steel nicely finished. No sharp edges. Easy to clean. Handle is wood with clear rubber suction cup feet that hold firm to a smooth countertop. Overall the unit is very sturdy and will likely last for years. Other units do not have a self feed feature. This one does. As you turn the handle the internal gearing advances the veggie into the blades progressively shaving the veg into noodles. So easy! There is an on / off black plastic knob you turn to engage or release the handle rod. When off the rod slides smoothly back and forth to load or release the veggie. There are various interchangeable blades that provide various noodle sizes. There is also a straight blade for shaving as well. Blades are easy to put on and take off. There are hook like bends on the end that fit into slot in the blade holder end of the machine. This sped up noodle making by 10 times or more than the twisting cheap unit I was using before. I actually smile now when making veggie noodles!

Very good gadget!
It works really well. I was a bit confused on why the grip was so high and the blades from top to bottom, but I was able to watch a video on how to attach it. I was able to make beautiful curly fries in no time.

Vegetable spaghetti
I am obsessed with this spiralizer! My favorite thing to make is sweet potato spaghetti, and this tool handles the toughness of a sweet potato with no problem. It’s easy to use, easy to clean, and it makes healthy eating a lot more fun. If you’re on the fence, get it—the sweet potato noodles alone are worth it!

Good buy for the price, looks nice, solid but lightweight
*ETA Mine doesnt have the storage underneath either. First off I am just glad to have a spirulizer that isnt plastic. No offgassing or plastic in a dump here! It seems mostly solid built with a few exceptions. I dont think the handle is stainless steel or it is a super cheap quality with filler, because mine was bent on my first try! Hoping the plastic cap doesnt break, they really should a metal one anyways.... It is pretty squeaky but i dont mind that as much as worrying about the bending handle. Is it gonna snap one day? It took me a minute to realize then handle was backwards to ship it compact, but then again i didnt read instructions. And iI though the on part of the button meant on as in making the noodles. But i guess its the lock. But honestly its SUPER easy to use. I didnt even read the instructions and popped off the blade and popped one on and got cooking. Wish the handle was more durable but as of now i feel ok about this purchase.

I had a plastic spiralizer but it didn’t see the light of day very often because it was fiddly, cumbersome and difficult to clean. I found out about this one from the ’Greedy Gourmet’ blog. It is pared down to basics - quality stainless steel no extraneous ’bits’ or casing. There is an on/off lever which engages the forward spiralizing function and when off allows forward and back adjustment to the length of the veg/fruit. Finally, it is very easy to clean the gripping disc in situ, but it can be removed. I use a brush for the disc and blades. My first tryout was for onion bhajis which turned out brilliantly. Now I am on the lookout for as many spiralizing recipes as I can find.
