Product Description The board book edition of the acclaimed interactive picture book about the changing seasons, which School Library Journal called “a treasure to behold.”Every book needs you to turn the pages. But not every book needs you to tap it, shake it, jiggle it or blow it a kiss. Innovative and timeless, Tap the Magic Tree gives even the youngest reader the chance to help one lonely tree change with the seasons. Now that’s interactive-and magical! It begins with a bare brown tree. But tap that tree, turn the page and one bright green leaf has sprouted. Tap again-one, two, three, four-and four more leaves have grown on the next page. Pat, clap, wiggle, jiggle and blossoms bloom, apples grow and the leaves swirl away with the autumn breeze. The collage-and-watercolour art evokes the bright simplicity of Lois Ehlert and Eric Carle and the interactive concept will delight fans of Pat the Bunny. Combining a playful spirit and a sense of wonder about nature, Christie Matheson has created a new modern classic that is a winner in every season-and every story time! Review “Matheson invites readers to take an apple tree through a seasonal round using taps and page turns in place of touch-screens. . . . A universal theme, developed in an unusually clean, simple presentation…and, at least, with no need for batteries.” --Kirkus Reviews“Although simple in presentation with ample white space, the artwork provides a glorious rendition of the four seasons of a tree. No iPad is needed to make this interactive book totally satisfying.” --Booklist“Proves you don’t need apps for interactivity. [A] child makes the seasons change by following Matheson’s instructions; each turned page shows the result. You can imagine this book wearing out after repeated tapping, swishing, counting and shaking, but you won’t ever have to recharge its battery.” --New York Times“Take an apple tree through the seasons by tapping, brushing, shaking, and clapping. . . . It’s a good on-the-way-to-bed activity.” --Publishers Weekly“The conceit of this clever picture book is that the changing seasons occur as if by magic. Readers are shown a bare brown tree and are implored to, “Tap it once. Turn the page to see.” As they do, green leaves appear. . . .Simply a treasure to behold.” -- School Library Journal About the Author Christie Matheson is the author of Touch the Brightest Star and Tap the Magic Tree, which was a Junior Library Guild selection, an desertcart Best of the Year, a B&N Best of the Month and named to the Texas 2x2 list. I recommend this book!
I really like the concept of this book. It's similar to the famous 'Press here' by Herve Tullet. I would say it's even better, since this book has a meaningful concept behind it, and it's a bit cheaper too!. The book has interactive elements to it, with makes it magical. It explains seasons in a fun way. It explains how a tree changes through the seasons. I would recommend this book to all the parents who like interactive books. It actually keeps the attention of a busy Toddler! To have a closer look at each page before buying the book, kindly visit my YouTube channel 'gforgratitude' and search for the book name. 👍🙏

Awesome
Shlok, my child does not like sedantry books. I found this amazing book. The narrative is brief and creative. The graphics seem to do justice to the book. Shlok read it 3 times and even kissed the book!

Disappointed
With due respect to all readers, I do think the title is misleading. This isnt really magic, like I thought from all the reviews. It is more of imagination making up the process of leaves and flowers appearing in the tree. Leaves also do not physically fall in the page, as I had imagined. The colours are subtle, I think children like striking colours. The birds nest could have been a nodal point, but is tiny and hardly noticeable. Disappointed.

A bossy little book that my 18-month-old absolutely loves taking orders from
Tap the Magic Tree has become a full-on performance in our house. I do the reading, my daughter does the tapping, rubbing, shaking, and wiggling. Every page gives her a new “job,” and she takes it very seriously. You’d think the tree might stop growing if she doesn’t tap it just right! It’s hilarious watching her blow the leaves away like she’s trying to clear a whole forest. She’s completely engaged the entire time, no distractions, no wandering off halfway through (which is saying a lot for a toddler). Each page invites her to interact in a new way, and by the end, she’s beaming like she really did make the tree bloom. It’s pure storytime magic! No screens, no sounds, just imagination and laughter. If you’re looking for a book that makes little ones feel part of the story (and gives parents a good laugh in the process), this is the one. A definite keeper and a great gift idea for toddlers!

お気に入りは、blow the tree a tiny kissで投げキッスをするところと、 blow a whooshing breezeでフーッと葉っぱを飛ばすところのようです。
