My first laser the learning curve was a bit much lol but its easy to get dialed in i did have problems with the first Longer Ray5 mini that I got it was a hardware issue the Longer team worked with me on trouble shooting the problem we discovered it was a hardware issue they sent me a new laser and helped me big time I highly recommend buying this laser for beginners its awesome and loads of fun to play with and learn how to use it ty Longer team you are awesome 👌

I purchased this to custom make patches for hats. It was a little tricky to figure out, but after some trial and error I was able to make some pretty cool patches. There are so many possibilities to be creative with this little laser engraver.

Works amazing

I had high hopes for the LONGER RAY5 Laser Engraver 3500mW, but unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. The setup process was more complicated than expected, with unclear instructions that made getting started frustrating. Even after spending considerable time calibrating the machine, the engraving results were inconsistent. The advertised precision did not match the results I achieved. Fine details often came out blurry or uneven, and repeated jobs produced different outcomes despite using the same settings. The 3500mW laser also felt underpowered for many materials, requiring multiple passes and significantly increasing project time. I also encountered reliability issues during operation, including interrupted jobs and occasional connection problems. These issues resulted in wasted materials and unnecessary frustration. The software experience was not as smooth as I expected, making the overall workflow less efficient. Build quality was average at best, and the machine did not inspire confidence for long-term use. Considering the time spent troubleshooting and the inconsistent performance, I do not feel this engraver delivered the value I expected. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product and would suggest looking at other laser engravers with more reliable performance and better user support.

I’ve always wanted a laser engraving machine for making small crafts. It was nicely packed and very easy to install. Perfect for my small studio—I can’t wait to start creating gifts once the materials arrive!
