Great Product
Worked perfectly for my client’s setup. I ran CAT6 from the patio TV to the living room Sonos Amp. The transmitter was connected using the digital optical output from the patio TV, feeding into the receiver at the Sonos Amp through the HDMI/optical adapter. The system performed exactly as needed.

Works for sending audio back to a remote amp from a TV
When TV operate as a monitor for signals sent from an AV switcher or amplifier, the audio came out of the amp too. But nowadays, TV's are far more than just monitors: they're the epicenter of the streaming services- the source for the imagery AND the audio. Now the information is going out of the TV instead of into it. So how to you get the audio back to that nice remote 7.1 amp and in-wall speakers you installed 6 years ago? There is something called ARC (Audio Return Channel). This is supposed to output the audio signal through an HDMI cable to an amp. I bought converters to change the ARC signal to cat 5 and back again. (I only have cat5 in the walls) This did NOT work for me. And from what I understand, ARC tends to not work very well. These J-tech boxes do something similar, but they do it with the TV's optical audio signal output. It converts the optical signal to Cat5, then back to optical audio, then into the amp. The only issue is that you will have to provide power to the transmitter unit, which can be tricky in the spaces behind a wall mounted TV. No latency, sounds great, and fewer remotes on the coffee table. Highly recommended.

Simple setup
Works great for connecting the optical output from my TV to a remote media rack. Nothing to configure - just plug in optical cables, Ethernet cables, and the power supply. The power supply can only go on one side of the link, so make sure that is OK for your use case.

Shockingly good
My receiver is an older receiver that only has optical inputs. My tv is quite far away and has an optical out. Luckily, I had run network cable through the walls a long while back. I found this product and it allowed to go optical out from the tv into 1 end of this dive, then network cable. The other end, network cable into this device, optical out to the receiver. It works without any configuration, I don't see any delay in the audio. It just worked out of the box and saved me from buying another receiver. One point to note: the optical cable only transmits dolby digital if I'm not mistaken. If you want Dolby Atmos, you would have to use HDMI-ARC or eARC so this is not likely the right solution for that. Still most of the content I watch is dolby digital for now and so this is sufficient for a while.

Worked great for me!
I encountered a situation during an installation where the distance between the TV and the media closet rendered the existing HDMI cable incompatible with a 4K device. To facilitate audio transmission between the two locations promptly, I utilized an available Ethernet connection. Initially, I had modest expectations for the performance of this device based on prior reviews. However, in my experience, I encountered no issues with sound quality, volume, or surround sound. Everything functioned flawlessly, which was very satisfying.

Works great, love the dual output
Works well for my setup. Used to connect Sonos Port in basement server to upstairs stereo. The transmitter runs cool, and receiver is plug/play with no additional electrical plug in. I took advantage of the duel plug running audio from Toshlink output to Schiit Modi DAC on main stereo and digital coaxial to another system via in wall coaxial connection. Allows me to have Sonos in multiple rooms with one Port. My Cat6 run is probably about 50 feet, and audio sounds great to my ear.

Works Well
Would have rated 5 stars but first box that shipped was defective. That being said, J-Tech customer service was excellent and helped me with a replacement. Second unit works as advertised.
