Exactly as described and great range. Was able to completely illuminate a giant oak in front of house with coverage to spare. Worked well with timer for other lights. Looking to purchase a second for next year just for to the increase density of coverage. Didn’t really use remote and you have to be pretty close (20-30ft) for it to work anyway.

I purchased 3 of these, and first off, I see what they're trying to do. For the most part it works. As other reviewers have mentioned, to achieve "white", they're projected Red, Green, and Blue onto the same spots (just like a TV or computer monitor uses RGB to make each pixel the necessary color). They're projecting those 3 lasers onto a rotating and faceted reflective wheel, which then creates the hundreds of dots being reprojected. Here's what you need to understand...If you hold your arm straight out, and rotate your body just 1 inch, the tip of your fingers will now be moved, say, 4 inches. If you were holding a 20 foot pole, now the distance you would have rotated the tip of the pole would now be 3-5 feet.The same is true for the RGB assemblage of the laser light. The 3 light sources can't physically occupy the exact same space within the unit, so they're probably a few millimeters apart inside. Because of that, the further away you get from the light source, the more the 3 colors will appear to separate. I've also noticed that when it has to project on something at an angle (not hitting the source head on).This is not the fault of the manufacturer, but geometry. As you are further away from the source, the colors blend anyway and it works better. But keep in mind, the closer the light source is to the projection surface, the better the points will appear as blended properly - the further away the light source is from the projection surface, the more the RGB lasers will appear to separate. Of course, the closer the light source is to the projection surface, the brighter it is.That being said, I have seen variances between units. Two different units put in the exact same hole in the ground, one may have less separation than the other.Now the buggy stuff...I replaced my units initially thinking they had stopped responding to remote control signals, only to have the new ones do the same, so those went back as well. There is a flaw in the design of these units. Out of the blue, they will respond to some signal out there, and either change color, or change motion. Once that happens, they no longer respond to the remote control and you have to re-pair it to get control back. To re-pair the remote, you simply hold down the power button for 10 seconds, but what they don’t tell you is, you really need to do that when it first powers on (before it does its little test of cycling through it’s colors), otherwise you won’t be able to pair it.I like the idea that you can only pair a remote within the first 10-ish seconds of the thing booting up, but whatever frequency it’s on, is used by something else in a neighborhood of 200 homes, and it was screwing things up.I recommend the manufacturer make them a little brighter, and maybe make them able to JOIN a WiFi network for local home control (not broadcast their own wifi, that’s junk - but actually able to join a home’s wifi). An alternative might be to use bluetooth, but whatever frequency they’re using now for the remote is not reliable.Sadly, they had to go back.

I really like the snowfall effect of this light and how bright it is. You can alter the direction, color, and speed. The cable is quite short so to get adequate distance from your projection surface you'll likely want to invest in an outdoor extension cable. The light has a built in timer, but I picked up an external timer to use instead so I could schedule it a bit more granular. This thing has withstood rain and snow so far. If you want a bright laser snowfall effect, this is probably the best choice on Amazon-- shame it's a bit pricey.

I bought the first laser in 2018 and it was great, white in color and a uniform light pattern which looked very realistic. This year I wanted add another laser which I installed next the to old version. The white was more yellow, the laser dots were inconsistently lumped where you saw alot of dots in one area, while other areas were dark.It appears that the quality has diminished significantly since 2018.

If the remote control becomes unsynchronized with the projector, which happened to me twice, it’s an easy fix. I turned off the projector turned on again and held down the remote control power button for a few seconds to re-sync.

The first light we purchased lasted about 3 weeks. We thought we did something wrong and purchased another one. This one didn't last 1 week. The light program stuck and we were unable to select any other function. Returned, awaiting a full refund.

UPDATED REVIEW AT THE END.Item stopped working on Christmas Day. I will try something else next year. my other branded laser lights still work!. Dropped to two stars since the unit lasted less than a month ...Hope my review helps either way.The Likes.I love how the movement of the lights makes it look like snowfall, rather than simply going around in a circle or the typical "laser" motion. The packaging was decent and product came in VERY good condition. I was able to use the Remote control indoors, close range, and fairly simple to use. Plug is the US version not requiring any additional purchases of plug adapters.Dislikes.Using indoor, this puts out quite a bit of light. however, Most (I believe) would use outdoor, and this does not put out as much light at greater distances (around 20-30ft) I had to reposition closer to my house, and lose some effect essentially just to make it more noticeable. The range on the remote is nearly void, you have to be close up to the light to get this to work, like within 7 to 10 ft.My opinion on this light is in comparison with the other option that just has a circular motion (and is white) It is brighter, remote range seems to work alot further (I can control the unit form within my house, about 30 feet away), but downside to that one, was I had to buy a plug adapter as it didnt have the appropriate one for the US.OVERALLI would prefer the movement that this unit has, however, wish the brightness of the laser was higher, or matched my other unit. Not a bad purchase, but maybe if purchased again, use for close range stuff.UPDATE: DECEMBER 25. 2019,UNFORTUNATELY for me this was my worse purchase for Xmas decorations. The unit last less than a month and the remote made it impossible to use. Today the unit decided it did not want to stay on. just a huge hassle. I decided to return completely as I had multiple issues. Will search for another option.

Save your money. I've used a couple of these for Christmas lighting and they have not held up. Remote stopped working, motion quit, beam separation, etc. Awesome idea, poor execution.

Did not have "snowfall" option as advertised. Motion was only circular. Motion stopped working completely after a week. Vendor was responsive and offered refund.

Worked great for the first week, then it went downhill from there. It now defaults to red motionless lights, and the remote does not work to change it to anything else. For the price I paid, I am very dissapointed. :(
