Fresh, clean quality chicken I bought this whole chicken for a family dinner, and it turned out great. The meat was fresh, tender, and flavorful. I like that it’s antibiotic-free. These chickens are the real deal. They are prepared correctly--no hidden organs in bags, no stinky preservatives and they're not small. The taste is like free range. Healthy birds. For the money a really good gourmet choice for a whole mid-sized chicken.

I am totally blown away at how moist and juicy this chicken was. I measured it when I took it out of the packaging and it came in at 5.45 pounds and it was all meat, no additional fat, no trimming needed to be done. I roasted it at 425 for 30 minutes, then at 400 for another 35 along with onions and potatoes, olive oil, salt, pepper, 1/2 a lemon squeezed on top of the breast, loads of garlic in the cavity along with the other 1/2 lemon and some fresh parsley and it was incredibly tender, moist and juicy! It put the 'popular brand' to shame. I meant to take a picture of it but ... well....I yanked off a leg and started munching on it and before I knew it, 1/2 of the chicken had been devoured because it was THAT good! This is now a repeating item in my cart for good reason. Don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed!

I only give 4 stars because it does not come with the giblets and heart. I like to use those to make a broth for gravy. That's the only down side.

Honestly, this chicken is the best! Juicy, flavorful, and easy to cook. I've followed instructions on packaging in the oven to perfection. I've also made in a slow cooker. When baking, I just use olive oil and rotisserie chicken spices. It's just the two of us and we get several meals. Have I mention how affordable??? Where else can you get at least three meals for two people for that price? Best chicken ever!!!!!
