Excellent security camera at an excellent price.
I am a big fan of Aqara products because they offer a range of high quality products at reasonable pricing. This camera is a good example, its under 40$ and provides excellent picture quality. I installed this camera outside of my home to replace my old Lorex camera. The main reason was to create an automation that worked with my Aqara Door lock. Anytime the door unlocks, the camera plays a voice recording so anyone outside knows they can enter. This is a perfect setup that works well with my remote button and Google home app. The picture quality is great and there many features that the old Lorex camera didn't have (Richards more expensive BTW). So far, I am very pleased with this camera and will recommend it to anyone.

Rock solid HomeKit camera
A rock solid HomeKit camera with a decent image quality. The camera is easy to set up using the Home app. I also paired it with the Aqara app to get firmware updates, but it’s not needed. I have 4 now around the outside of my house and they load fast in Apple Home, catch motion, and work great at night. It was easy to mount, they are fairly small, and only needs one screw to hang. Great price, too.

Good for the price point
Decent camera for the price. For basic home monitoring it is sufficient and HomeKit integration is convenient. Install and setup was easy. Plenty of features you can’t find on some other options and doesn’t require a subscription for 24/7 recording (with sd card installed). However, WiFi connection says it is poor consistently when viewing local history from SD card through the app even though it has a strong signal. Not a huge issue and doesn’t appear to be gaps in recording but just minor frustration when trying to watch history at times and it is slow to load. Sound out when speaking is fine but incoming sound is easily distorted and gets feedback especially if there are multiple noises taking place. Alerts aren’t always accurate neither through Aqara or HomeKit but that seems to be a common complaint across many cameras. Difficult to find anything better for the price point but some opportunity to improve. Wouldn’t recommend if you have high security concerns but fine for an average residential user that just wants more visibility outside.

Cheap, Super Easy to Set Up, and Good Video Quality
I've been buying a bunch of Aqara accessories over the last two months as I'm switching away from the Blink and Wyze platforms. Both of those platforms offered really cheap but good cameras which, sadly, are not really compatible with each other or other smart home systems. I really wanted HomeKit compatibility and that's where Aqara comes in because I really wanted the capabilities that HomeKit and Shortcuts offer. I grabbed a few of the higher end Aqara cameras (G5 Pro and G3) but didn't need that functionality everywhere and wanted something price-wise that was similar to the cameras I was replacing. The G100 fit the bill nicely. I have three of them up and they've been really good so far. Set up was a breeze. I have one in the garage and another in the backyard which is mainly for watching animals. I'd definitely recommend giving one of these a try if you're looking for something that's a bit more affordable than the G5 Pro and the G3 but still has a lot of the same features. Keep in mind that as soon as you add it to HomeKit, the camera will not be in 2K anymore since Apple's HomeKit restricts the resolution to 1080p so if you want to use the higher resolution, don't use Apple's HomeKit - stick with Aqara Home instead.

Easy Setup and Great Image Quality, But Some False Alerts
The Aqara G100 was very easy to set up, and the image quality is excellent for both indoor and outdoor use. I have it connected to HomeKit, and the integration has been smooth—reviewing events and checking the live feed is simple and reliable. The only downside is that it tends to trigger some false alerts, especially with motion detection. Aside from that, the camera feels solid, works well in daily use, and offers good value for a HomeKit-compatible device.

HomeKit compatible, HomeKit secure video not so much.
If you want a cheaper camera than a Logitech Circle View, this is the camera for you. Video quality is just as good, and it does have a spotlight for color video at night. I only use it through HomeKit, though I installed Aqara’s app in order to update the camera firmware. Installation was a snap into HomeKit. My only problem with it is that it will not detect people or animals to record to Apple Home if they’re more than 15’ away. Camera is installed on the front porch, and records great as long as subjects are not far away. But if you are looking for a camera to see and record to Apple Home throughout the camera range, look somewhere else. For less than $40 it’s a good camera, but it has its drawbacks.

Avoid if using HKSV and need motion or object detection.
Bought these for the price, HomeKit secure video compatibility and IP65 rating. Setup was easy and initially seemed to work. Image quality is good, and the light gives a nice color image at night if you enable it. However they rarely if ever trigger for motion or person detection and thus are effectively useless for my purposes as HKSV only records triggered events. 3 different cameras all have the same issue in different locations. It’s not WiFi issue as image and connection is fine. In contrast my circle doorbell and tapo C125 cameras work flawlessly. Not sure why it doesn’t work as detection should be run from the Apple TV hub as I understand it, based on the image rather than a specific sensor, but regardless, something is different with these as opposed to other devices and it doesn’t work. Very disappointing. Buyer beware. Should have known better to buy a product immediately on release; now have to take these pieces of junk down and send them back. Live streaming only doesn’t really fit my use case. Unfortunately the c125 is not officially water proof or would just get more of those as they work very well; although placing high under my eaves should keep them dry and at the price they are almost disposable, and I may have to try it.

HomeKit cameras are notoriously overpriced. I'm not sure this one is though
HomeKit cameras are notoriously overpriced, however after an easy minute of setup time, I could see the daytime quality is great for $35, and night time quality is decent. I genuinely can't complain. What I didn't expect to come with such decent quality are two things: 1. storage support, this one really surprised me 2. outdoor weather resistance, this one surprised me although in this day and age I expect weather resistance for everything. While I haven't had a lot of time to play with if this camera can store continuous footage, it sure makes the Aqara app useful for once, assuming I can still "Hide and Require Face ID" without any issues. The night time light seems plenty bright (of course it's not night color, just black and white with the IR Blaster), however there is a huge delay between detection and activation of night/day compared to nicer cameras like the Logitech Circle View. That being said, it's extremely difficult to justify the pricepoint of cameras like the Circle View or even Aqara's $70 camera offering when $35 still provides plenty field of view with fair quality, AND local device storage support which is not even offered by triple price digit cameras. I highly recommend this camera, it might become so popular it will be sold out regularly, so consider buying before you can't.
