Paracord is already amazing. Milspec paracord is even more butch. Then there's Titan SurvivorCord. It's a little stiffer and slightly bulkier than standard paracord, but it's barely noticeable. You may notice when tying knots with smaller hooks and turns, but it doesn't seem like it would be a problem. I tied a snake knot lanyard with the cord to try it out and it bound tightly and securely, as it should. This review is going to run long, so let me sum up for those who don't need the details: It came exactly as pictured, and the included velcro binding strap is a nice freebie. The cord feels nice in the hand, and it's high quality is apparent when you handle it. Mine had no bulges or kinks and is completely smooth for the entire 100-foot length. I think this cord is absolutely the best you can buy, easily five stars and despite all of this, their pricing is competitive. To be honest, the 'survivor' extras in this cord are absolutely a last ditch resource for me. I don't see myself ever stripping the waxed jute out of this cord, or the wire, or the fishing line in order to actually use them in the field. I might do it for the novelty of it, but just knowing they're in there, whatever I use the cord for, is reassuring. I do like the higher weight capacity (greater than 600lbs) and I plan to try out the tensile strength of the line by using it for a suspended tent rig. I expect it will handle the load nicely. I bought this with a Spool Tool and this line is definitely a little bulkier than standard milspec paracord. (If you don't yet have a Spool Tool, I can't recommend it highly enough!) The Spool Tool can't quite handle 100-feet of this cord. That's not a horrible problem to have, but it's something to be aware of. Photo - My orange Spool Tool is loaded with a little over 85-feet of this paracord. I don't claim to be adept at winding tightly, so if you're good at that, you can probably pack more onto your spool. You can see that the ends of the spool are just about overloaded, and the more you do that, the more likely it is to slip off, so wind with care. I am also not a great photographer, obviously, but you can see the detail of the three special strands: 25lb. Test Fishing Line: The fishing line was a pleasant surprise: it's thick and strong, not the thin stuff you often see in survival products where it's a value-add. I would absolutely trust it as a catch-all survival situation fishing line. 30 AWG (American Wire Gauge) Wire: The wire IS thin, but seems strong. I doubt it would be stiff enough or stout enough as snare wire in a single strand (reliable snares use braided cable a minimum of 1/32 of an inch for squirrel-sized animals, and get thicker as the animals get bigger), but I would trust it doubled or tripled up for actual use in a snare. Waxed Jute Tinder Line: The waxed jute is pretty amazing. Six inches of this stuff shredded up makes for a nice pile of tinder. As you can see in the image, it is a fairly thick strand, and I'm sure it is responsible for most of the additional bulk in the cord. All in all, I think you should try Titan SurvivorCord, or if you don't need the extras, Titan WarriorCord will cover your needs nicely. I researched the other survival paracords out there, and while there are many with appealing features, I feel that this is the best available. I also love what I've read about the company, they seem to be an awesome group. I'm an urban prepper and one thing I don't have is ample space! So I'm always ready to try new products and ideas that give me multiple function but don't take up too much space. The Titan paracord fit that bill. Now... the family is still testing it but here's what we know so far...the cord is very sturdy and compact. It fits nicely in our go bags. The 1st test we did was fire... The wax jute caught the flame and stayed lit in the upright position with no problem. We unbraided the interior lines to make kindling but it did not catch. When we lit a piece still braided,it not only took the flame...it burned bright!(lost a thumbnail on that one...lol) We also heated the copper line and it stayed intact, no flame. Next, we tested pliablity...you could make anything that you see made with paracord today. The ends had to be tied off, but we made a pretty sturdy makeshift collar for our mastiff..which is no easy feat because he's about 170! Next well be testing strength probably with that collar and that dog but as of now it's east to surmise this cord in just as strong as any other quality cord..... all in all...this is an awesome product and I'm so glad I bought it! For what your getting, the price is more than fair and the customer service is top notch..I called and within 2 rings a human picked up stateside! I think this company has hit on something as far as us city people go....and I am looking forward to seeing more new products in the future!

Okay. For those of you who want this for "survival." Here is my take on that. I started using paracord in place of nylon rope and cotton, years ago The reason? It is tough. I won't go into the survival uses, since those uses are broadcast in plenty. Here are some uses around the house, I have put this to work. Made a pulley system from the house to the storage shed. I can move heavy stuff back and forth while he is out scouting deer sign. Use it for a quick clothesline while camping. Works great. Tied down the swimming pool cover. Will last many seasons. Used it to pull the riding mower out of the ditch, with the truck. Tied accessories on to his climbing deer stand. Made a pull up rope for him to pull his gear bag up to his stand. Tied down new mattresses in the back of the truck to get home from the store. Tied water containers and ice chests up to the ceiling of the storage shed to make more storage space. We even pulled our side by side out of a creek bed. Lots more uses than bracelets !! This is excellent cord, and we are huge supporters of Wounded Warriors, as is Titan. A veteran owned company. I feel great about this company and their products. I was NOT compensated in any way for this review. Paid full price for product. I still believe in made in USA products and excellent customer service. Both still exist, here is one example.

I can't say enough good things about the TITAN brand of products! The company is owned by fellow veterans who have been in the field and know what is required. The customer service is the best! After I received the product the company emailed me to say if there was any problems to contact them and they would make it right, many companies do not have that level of customer service. Most companies when trying to contact them are either impossible to get a hold of or the customer service is outsourced and they could not care less. All the products I have purchased from TITAN have been outstanding! The level of craftsmanship is exactly what I'd expect from veterans who have been in the field and know what it means to have products that are functional AND durable. They are what I think of when I think of American pride and quality! It's a great piece of mind knowing they stand behind their products 100%! I have both the SurvivorCord as well as their regular paracord. The SurvivorCord is a pretty ingenious product with a fishing line, snare line, and waxed jute line in the paracord! Can be used as regular paracord and if the need arises you have 3 critical lines you can use to stay alive! I have both products in my B.O.B. I would recommend using a windup tool to prevent tangles.

This is real parachute cord with a plus! Many years ago, while in the Army, during Ranger School and thereafter, I made use of hanks of parachute cord which had jute for fire starting, monofilament and the various colored strands for whatever you needed them for. Now, TITAN comes along and adds a thin copper wire inside the kernmantle making their paracord that much better. I have already used the copper strand out of a 5 foot piece to wrap around a nail in order to make a lightweight field expedient magnet when I attached it to a 6 volt lantern flashlight and lowered it into a hole where I had dropped my Spyderco knife. It took a bit of experimentation to get it right but it worked. Right after that, I ordered 3 more TITAN products, another hank of SurvivorCord and 2 hanks of WarriorCord. One of each is going into my daypack and into my emergency road kit. I will definitely be ordering more for myself and to give as Christmas gifts to my hunting buddies this year. I highly recommend having some of each around, even if just for everyday use or as part of a emergency road kit (you do have one don't you?) or your hunting/outdoor gear. One more thing. The WarriorCord was made to true MilSpec standards. TITAN tests show the 550 actually has the tensile strength of 600+ pounds.
