One of the standout qualities of this collar is its exceptional battery life. I've been able to use it daily for an entire month on just a single charge, which speaks volumes about its efficiency and longevity. The collar offers a wide range of functionalities that cater to various training needs. With 99 levels of shock intensity, I appreciate the flexibility it provides. Although I've never had to go beyond level 8, having the option to fine-tune the intensity is a great feature for different dog personalities and training situations. Additionally, the beep and vibrate functions have proven to be highly effective alternatives to the shock feature. It's wonderful to have multiple options to suit my dog's response and sensitivity. What truly amazed me is the collar's remarkable reach. I once had to correct my dog's behavior from a whopping 1km away, and the shock still worked flawlessly. This kind of range is a game-changer, especially for outdoor activities and off-leash training. The collar's durability and build quality also deserve a mention. First, here is the situation.. I ended up getting this collar because my dog barks so aggressively at the neighbors dog and will run around me when I try to get her to stop or come in. She literally runs along the fence line barking and will "juke move" me and make me look like an idiot. This is the only situation where she is disobedient, she normally comes immediately and listens very well.. I have paid professionals to work with her for weeks in their facility and this is still occurring. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this collar. My dog responds very well to it. I started out by testing the Shock Level on myself so that I could decide what level I wanted to put it on. It has settings from 1 to 99. My dog is not new to the shock collars so i didn't need to gauge by her reaction or start at 1, I know what works on her. I have always purchased a certain brand that runs around one hundred and fifty dollars. However, I always have to replace it in around one year. I decided to try this one that was a little bit more affordable for me and has more options. My dog seems to not mind wearing this collar, and she responds to the vibration and the noise every time. The only time I have to use the shock setting is when she is in a confrontation with the neighbor's dog. I only have to press it once and she immediately stops and listens to my command. One of the most surprising features is how long the battery lasts in the collar and the remote. I only have to charge it about once every three weeks. The charger is really nice to use, plug it in with little effort, unlike some others I've tried. My other collars would have to be charged every few days, rather I used it or not. I feel like it is made pretty well. The only thing I would change is that the material the collar is made out of seems to loosen after a few weeks so I have to tighten it just a small amount so that the contacts are touching her still. That's really the only con I have. Very affordable very effective and durable. I also like that there is the option to add on a second collar to the one remote. I haven't done this because I don't have that need but it's nice to have for those who have more than one naughty dog. Really good spend, it's changed our life for the better because before having it, my dog was out of control barking aggressively at the neighbors dog and the neighbors were really uncomfortable, rightfully so.. I believe this collar saved us from needing to build a different fence or maybe even move.

Here’s the revised version with the saltwater/ocean durability note added: I was originally hesitant to buy an e-collar because I thought of it as a “shock collar” and worried it might be inhumane. After reading reviews and doing more research, I better understood that it can be used as a communication and recall training tool when paired with positive reinforcement. My dog is a little over one year old, a Greyhound/Doberman mix, and he loves running in a shallow saltwater low-tide beach area where other dogs play off leash. At first I used a long leash, but it was impractical, so I became determined to improve his recall. I started by having him wear the collar around the house without using correction. I would beep it, call his name, and reward him with his favorite high-value treat, shredded boiled chicken, every single time he came back. The beeping stops after holding the button for a few seconds. It’s crucial to keep pushing and holding the button repeatedly every few seconds so the beeping is continuous until his comes all the way back. Once he understood that, I started using only the beep (no vocal command) and rewarding him 100% of the time. Then we practiced in the yard, then at the dog park with more distractions. Most of the training was positive reinforcement. The beep became his cue that something great was waiting for him. After about a week or two, he occasionally ignored the beep in higher-excitement situations, so I introduced vibration at the lowest setting and slowly increased it only until I saw a response. The vibration helped snap him out of whatever he was focused on, then I followed with the beep, recall, and reward. I have only used the shock feature a few times, and only at the lowest effective setting. My dog is sensitive, so I started extremely low and only needed level 3 or 4 out of 99. I used it only for serious situations, like fixating aggressively on a cat through a fence, paired with a firm “no,” then immediately followed by recall and reward. Now, if I say “no” around a cat or wildlife, he usually stops and comes back without needing correction. After a few weeks of consistent training, I was able to bring him to the beach off leash with reliable recall. We have gone many times now, and he comes back from hundreds of feet away when he hears the beep. Most of the time I do not need vibration at all, and I almost never need correction. I still always carry high-value treats and reward him well. The collar has also held up well in saltwater so far. My dog fully submerges it in the ocean, rolls in the sand, and plays hard. I always make sure the charging port plug is fully closed before we go in the water. After the beach, I rinse it thoroughly with fresh water, then rinse it again when we get home and hang it outside to dry in the sun. The speaker for the beep can get clogged with sand and water, so sometimes I cannot hear it clearly when he is close by, but it still seems loud enough on his neck because he has no issue responding to it. This collar has been life-changing for my dog’s freedom, safety, and our communication. It gave me a way to reliably recall him while still letting him enjoy running and playing. Used responsibly, patiently, and with positive reinforcement, this is an incredible tool and absolutely worth the money. Never use the device when you’re frustrated. The key is positive reinforcement with small, low power vibrations or shock corrections. As additional assurance, I pair this ecollar with the Tractiv GPS Tracker (which is also waterproof) to be able to confidently find him if he ever does run away. But his recall is so good I think that’s highly unlikely.

I’ve been using an E-collar for my dog for years for recall as well as basic training. For this price you really can’t get any better. The charge is incredible, I’ve used this for MONTHS and it hasn’t died on me once. The remote is straight forward and easy to control and I love that there is such a wide range if you ever do need to use the shock mode. It’s great quality at a reasonable price. My dog is great and we really only use the vibration and beep mode and both are enough to get her attention. If you know how to use it this is a great training tool!
