This unit works great now! Yes now ! I looked online and found a similar model that is screen swapping also and since I have some experience with electronics I opted to buy this one from Amazon. I knew that I could return it if it didn’t work out for me. You need to watch the videos on youtube about how to install this type of unit. If you aren’t sure about your abilities then maybe you should find a install shop nearby to do this for you. My install went perfectly and I had to again use the videos to help. You will only need one of the cables to interface with your screen and you probably won’t need the joystick extension cable either. I didn’t. After installing it it works okay but I had flickering bleed at the bottom of the screen when using carplay. I contacted the seller and after several emails he sent me a update file set It was zipped up with very little information on how to use the update. I like I said have some knowledge about such things so I unzipped the files and you must use a usb drive that is 16 mb or smaller. Format the usb to fat32 and just copy the three files onto it. Go into the system/upgrade /.bin files with the usb plugged into your usb cable coming from their unit and press update. The unit should do the rest. Rebooting and after it came back up. The flickering at the bottom of the screen is gone. You still have the Lexus screen, press menu button on car joystick for 3-5 seconds and the screen will switch to the new device. You can still use the steering wheel buttons to work the music and sound. Also your joystick is how you move around the new screen as well. Now we have wireless CarPlay handsfree phone and most apps from my iPhone are on the new screen. Just press menu for switching back and forth from Lexus screen to new screen. Hope this helps you to decide if it is right for you?

They installed it for me at the service center, saying that the image could be adjusted, but that turned out not to be the case. The image is distorted and there is no sound. They also didn't give me a refund for this thing. So basically, I wasted $500 on this, including installation.

2017 RX350 w/ML system. Well so far so good with this unit! I was hesitant at first with the couple negative reviews, but the install went very smooth. Ended up using the joystick harness on the install since I had everything apart and some of the reviews mentioned it changing the original screen when CarPlay was selected. Haven’t been able to figure out the AirPlay part yet, but not really concerned with that since we primarily wanted it for CarPlay. Found a couple videos on YT that really helped out. Hopefully I don’t run into any issues, will update here if something comes up.

Installed on a 2016 RX Premium model. This was the modern experience the car needed. The interface is smooth, mainly got it for car play. The joystick takes some getting use too but worth it.

Installed as directed. Display is great but mouse input is very inconsistent. Additionally, constantly has a ground wire whine that matches engine speed. The last straw was the Bluetooth for phone calls. I could hear the caller clearly but on their end, they received an annoying echo.

Got this as a replacement for some other brand I had purchased. This one actually works with my radio and installed it easily by my local shop. Definitely love all the new features I have available to me with this unit. Highly recommended.

Wouldn’t work the touchpad to turn on, caused ABS light to come on…plenty of experience installing systems, this one was bad right out of the box, disappointing after taking everything apart to install.
