I'm stabilizing my basement walls and after filling the first cell one scoop at a time I thought there had to be a better way. Thank goodness I found this funnel, it does exactly what it's designed to do extremely well. It has made my task soooo much easier and is worth every penny. September 22 Update: We finished our core filling project which necessitated this funnel, but not before discovering it has an Achilles heal. The front lip that hooks the funnel onto the inside of the block is actually quite fragile. This probably isn't a big deal if you are using it on "new work" in which the inside of the blocks are cleaned out during construction, but I'm using the funnel on a 50 year old wall in which the mortar was not cleaned from the inside of the cells. If you try to install the funnel into a cell without a pristine inside wall, the lip WILL break if it hits a chunk of hard mortar. My solution was to install small metal angle brackets to the underside of the front lip by drilling through to the funnel surface and installing bolts. The brackets held up perfectly no matter how much abuse the funnel took and got us through the remainder of the core filling project.

Before ever using this funnel I had it sitting on something about 3 ft off the ground. I bumped it and it fell off and hit directly on the front lip that holds the funnel in the block. That lip broke and the funnel is ruined. This was a tiny little front piece made of 1/8 inch thick plastic. The whole thing should come in a styrofoam case to protect it from damage. Don't buy this for a construction site. it'll never last. Money down the drain unless I can figure out how to personally repair it with my own time, effort, energy, and frustration.

This item is sturdy and solid plastic. I saw multiple reviews that it doesn't hang over the top of blocks well and that's accurate. I didn't utilize it well because I discovered my blocks have 3 empty cells.

Husband didn’t think I could find something like this on Amazon.... I’m like oh yes I can! He was building concrete pier and beams for our tiny home and it was perfect to get in tight spaces. We had to build them under the tiny home.
