Is this real wood? The picture has a cross-hatch texture to the wood, particularly on the side, that is reminiscent of plastic.

No, it's not real wood. It has wood imitation cover.

Does this have the ability to count up over 10 hrs?

Not as such, as the hour slot has only one digit, so you could set it to 9:59:59, one second short of 10 hours.

Does it count the number of moves, let's say in a 40/100 d10 sd30? does it count my 40 moves before switching to the sd 30?

No, that is not how DGT/FIDE time controls work. If you set a 40/100 d10 period, the clock will allow 100 minutes to run out before switching you to the second time control. It is up to the players and arbiters to make sure that the required number of moves are made. But the remaining time doesn't go away when move 40 is played.

Does this have the option for time increment? +30sec, +5sec, etc...

Yes, it does. This clock does absolutely everything you could ever want.

Profesional, perfecto

Changes the game!

I've never used a chess clock before. My teenage son decided to start playing a lot of chess. He can usually beat me, but if we play with the clock, I've discovered that I can often win or draw. It adds a whole new dimension to playing. I know every chess player reading this is thinking "who is this guy? of course it changes the game". For me, it was a revelation. This clock is great. Easy to read, simple to set up and a nice action on the switch when you finish your move. I have a wood board and this clock provides a nice match in terms of aesthetics. It makes a great gift.
