Soundcore AeroFit 2 by Anker Open Ear Earbuds, Open Ear Headphones, Earbuds

I have loved these the moment I took them out of the box. I tested these with my sister. She liked them so much that she ordered a pair. It has now been a week of constant use, and they have already become the best wireless earbuds I have used. There are some Cons; but, for me, the Pros definitely outweigh them. **Note: I am using these with Android and Windows-based machines. I have not tested them yet with any Apple devices. PROS: Nothing in the ear. **They don't sit in the ear canal, so no skin irritation and no "speaking in a tunnel" effect that you get with earplugs. These use ear hooks to hang on the ear lobe. *This is perfect for those of us that can’t keep standard earbuds in their ears. Sound quality is crystal clear for both me and a caller. **I can have music playing through these and still be able to hear conversations going on around me. It is the same as having music playing from speakers rather than the earbuds. Great job of dampening the environmental noise while on a call. **I can get ice from the freezer when on a call and the caller barely notices. Volume is definitely loud enough. **I usually have my Bluetooth volume way up, but not with these. I actually had to turn them to a very low level. The fit is comfortable and secure. **Half the time I forget I have them in, and I never feel like they'll fall off. Smooth simultaneous multipoint connection. **So what does that mean? I have these connected to both my phone and laptop at the same time. I can listen to music on my computer. These will pause the music and immediately switch to the phone for a call. I hang up the call and start back up the music on my computer. All of this will happen automatically. Battery life on a single charge is amazing. **I haven't tested the full 10 hour claim but they have worked for 9 hours straight with average use.) Easy to pair with devices The case can be charged wirelessly or through USB-C. Good cost for what you get. **My previous earbuds CONS: Simultaneous Connection doesn’t instantly work when first connecting. **Test the transition from one device to another before really using it. Takes a little time initially to get the Volume for all connected devices at good levels. Current battery life is usually a guess. **Other devices show current battery life in places on my phone or computer. I haven’t found that yet. There are no physical buttons on the earbuds. **To stop or play music, answer/hang up calls, etc. require a tap or double-tap. This can be challenging for those of us that shake. No rea Noise Cancellation **In my job I need to be more aware of my surroundings, so this isn't an issue for me.

I wanted something for travel that were more compact than my studio cans, but I absolutely can't stand the ones that stick in your ears. I found these and instantly fell for them. First off is the sound quality. I keep seeing people say that its just ok, or good for open-ears. I don't know what they are talking about, these things sound amazing, just as good as my Audio Technica ATH-M30s. Also, the other reviews that say they are so comfortable you might forget you have them on is also accurate. They're weightless and you don't even feel them, which leads me to my next positive, is the Soundcore app having options to help you sleep. Such as white noise, brainwave audio, meditation stories, etc. So again, they are so unintrusive I was able to use these to fall asleep. I haven't tested the battery life to it's fullest extent, but from what I've tried they seem to last long as well. You can also see the battery life and the case within the app. The light on the case is also supposed to indicate how much battery is left. I think it's supposed to blink when low. But charging seemed fast with the USB C port. Also, the pairing button on the back is quick and easy. It will auto-pair the very first time you open the case. I just love how compact the case is in general. Some of the only concerns I have. They seemed a little hard to get on at first, especially as someone with long hair. I got used to it, but have to fiddle with it so the point where I'm constantly pressing the touch controls on them. It got to the point where I just had to disable the touch controls all together. They were just too sensitive when trying to take them on and off, even though it defaults to double tap, I was still constantly skipping and pausing my music. Also, I had one time where they didn't disconnect when I put them in my case. So just make sure that each headphone latches on to the magnet, it will light up once to show its in properly. Then when you close the case it should light up again. My last concern is noise bleed. I'll be traveling on airplanes. I can hear the music pretty good even at 50% volume, so this is something I will just have to test out when the time comes. Despite my concerns the pros outweigh the cons. I think these are an amazing pair of headphones. Sound quality is great, comfort level is top notch, easy to charge with the magnets making a secure connection, comes in a sleek case that fits in the palm of your hand. Cool green color.

I've had 2 pairs of the ai assistant aero fit 2s. Hands down the none ai ones win!!!!!! For the none ai assistant pair go to #9 1st the reason I got two pairs was one I got the first pair on sale. Then I lost the first pair bought another. 2nd (with ai) They were stuck in Chinese no matter what I did. The app didn't help at all. 3rd the ai feature kinda sucked at what they were supposed to do. 4 (with ai) the language translation was wrong about 80% of the time. 5 (with ai) the response time was terrible if you got it to recognize it's name and responded. It would take 30s to get a weather report. 6 (with ai) the battery life was F***** terrible. For an over earbud with a big battery you would expect more the 6 hours of run time. Now they are stupid comfortable. I could sleep with them and I would wake up and put them in and forget there on me. But 6 hours of work most of the time not even playing anything. They would die.. I mainly just kept them on all day because I work with my hands and when I get a call from a customer or a co-worker or a boss it's nice just to have an earbud in instead of holding my phone to my head. So I would spend most of my days not even playing any music or doing anything with the earbud and it would still die. For the ai assistant pair. 7 (with ai) 90% of the d*mm time it would interrupt my conversation which is very distracting. It would think I called its name the blar out reconnect to the sound core app! Or in the case of my 2nd pair it would say it in Chinese 8 if you want the AI features you have to have the sound core app running 24/7 on your phone and it drains your phone battery fast! 9 for the 10$ cheaper none ai pair (my 3rd pair of aero fits) I'm on day 2!!! Same ear bud only took it out for showers (didn't even charge it in the case just put it on the counter got out and put it back on) not even a low battery warning yet. Now I'm not blaring music/media. Just have it in for the occasional tiktok, YouTube video or phone call. The case can charge the pair about 3 times to full. Like I said for light use I could maybe get 6hours out of the ai pair. I love over ear most of the time. It's nice to keep it in 24/7 and still hear whats around me. 10now for both (ai and not ai). For the fitment and comfortability 10 out of time I can put my headphones on over them for when I'm gaming don't even notice. The my quality is very good I can compromise on calls all the time. But do not eat when you're on a phone call. It will pick up every chew and crunch. Now there's not much that can be done with an over ear bud with sweat. Your sweat will clog up the ports and the mesh. I would say about two times a day while working on a hot day I have to wipe it off with my sweater or clean it off with a rubbing alcohol in a q-tip. But compared to most earbuds that you just put in your ear if you go for a run and you start sweating they will fall out over and over and over again. Never once had that issue with over here they stay on no matter what. Portability for men is great! Sorry for the ladies reading this but I know you guys don't really have pockets and it is a big case. Now if you have a purse not a big deal. But I could see it being an issue trying to put this big case into a pair of leggings pockets. 20 out of 10 for the none ai pair they sounds amazing and will buy again when I lose this pair. 2 out of 10 for the ai assistant pair Battery sucks. The ai assistant sucks. For 10-20$ not you get a worse experience.

Update: I've had these a few months now. After my initial review, Soundcore reached out and offered a replacement for the 3 star review...eh, c'mon guys, if it was 1 star, I get it, but I still liked these. I've liked them even more and can safely say these are kind of my daily drivers, meaning, I wear these almost every day, even more than my over ear headphones. For that reason alone I'm bumping my star rating. That said, let's go back over what I've liked and not liked from these. Updated PROS: - Comfort is still great - Sound has gotten better since I played with the EQ non stop until I had it to, what I would consider, almost Audiophile level (but it's still missing something...which I'll get to.) - Price is great if you get them under 70. - Excellent for taking calls, especially in the car since my Bluetooth in my car died and these allow me to make crystal clear calls and still have environmental awareness. Updated CONS: - Even if I got the EQ to much better levels, boy, it wasn't easy. I realized their EQ compensates when you add more of something. For example, bumping up the Mids will likely take away much of the Bass, even if the low ends are pumped to 6. In that regard, you can get near Audiophile quality from these, with a balanced Bass, but if you love your bass along with rich mids and even highs, these are still not for you. That said, if all you want is bass and almost nothing else, their Signature Sound Profile is amazing for that. - Fit. Fit and Comfort don't necessarily go together. Comfort, I can wear these all day. FIT...meaning how the sound goes into your ears... it's OK...but could be miles improved here. For example, these have Vertical adjustment, so you can fit it on your hear better wherever your canal is on your body. But I have low hanging canals, so I use the lowest setting here, and they just feel ..loose. Not to mention, I have to turn the volume up since they rest outside of your ear ...I mean fine, that's why I got them, but I felt the AreoFit Pros protruded into your ears a bit better giving you IEM quality sound. These kind of don't. I would LOVE if they had an additional, forward articulation, like the Raycon Open Earbuds. Those have a fantastic design where you can adjust how far into your ears you may want to go, as well as up and down articulation. I'd love to see the 3rd generation of these have that. Heck, if Raycon had LDAC or anything, I'd probably just get those. Anyways, that's it. Some quips here and there, but still, solid earbuds, and a pair I now use daily. Original Post: I first started learning about Open Ear Earbuds (or Headphones) late last year. I have tinnitus and very wide ear canals that make it impossible to find good earbuds. Not just hard to find, but even many after market eartips that are large in diameter never seemed to work either, they're always coming lose and never forming to my canal (I also have a terrible time putting in earplugs at concerts, and I'm always left with more ringing at louder shows than I would like). So Open Ear headphones seemed like the way to go, and after research, I settled on the AeroFit Pros, the last generation of these. They have performed wonderfully. The sound is crisp, they handle LDAC and AptX Adaptive for Hi-Res Audio, and were very lightweight on my ears. The only thing I really ever had a gripe with was the fit, which was a little bulky and tiresome on my ears after a while. So when I saw the AeroFit 2's had come out, and read they might be more comfortable to wear, I had to get these. I've had these for almost 2 weeks now, having gotten them during the Black Friday sale for 79.99. Here are my initial thoughts, and yes I will be comparing them against the AeroFit Pros. HI-RES The AeroFit Pros offer all the popular codecs, including Sony's LDAC Hi-Res codec and Snapdragon's AptX Adaptive codec. However the AeroFit 2's only offer LDAC as AptX is weirdly missing. Which is sad since my phone and other devices tend to offer this up. But it's fine, since you get high quality from LDAC anyways. Still, nothing for AptX, and the newest codec AptX Lossless, which only a handful of other headphones and smart phones offer anyways, such as the CLEER ARC II and 3, which offer both codecs for a slightly higher price. SOUND The sound from these are solidly good, but not great. I saw a couple of youtube videos, and even some reviews here, that say the bass is better on these than the AeroFit Pros. I guess?? Unfortunately you are losing some of the Mids and highs on these in favor of that Bass, which can make the quality of the drivers sound a bit too thick at times. By no means do they sound bad, btw, but they are a little less balanced than the AeroFit Pros. There is a Spatial Audio setting, like the Pros, but these are VASTLY improved. The Pros felt like you were listening to music out of a tin can, but these sound very balanced with Spatial settings on. They still don't always sound like music is coming from all around you, but then again, I guess these were more designed for Games and Movies, which...they're fine, it's fine. That said, they do get louder than their predecessor and you can tweak the EQ settings, too, but...well... THE APP The App is the standard Soundcore app. You can do many things on this. You can switch sound profiles, personalize EQ settings or use presets, assign buttons, etc.. Bare bones app, pretty well designed in terms of most functionalities. I don't like their EQ...I never have. Soundcore's EQ kind of blows, tbh. It was a huge reason why is sent back the Q45's, because the sound from those headphones were...ehhhh. And the EQ didn't help any. Same here, except with these, the moment you touch the EQ, any and all of the signature bass disappears. I put the lower end all the way up, and I was STILL getting like half the bass as their "signature" sound...or even the "Bass booster" and "Volume Booster" which are 2 of their standard presets. The moment you EQ things yourself, the bass just goes missing. It's not to say you can't get a more balanced sound out of these, however, with some tweaking, just don't expect anything too crazy. CONTROLS There are Touch controls on these instead of buttons like on the Pros. Honestly, I like the buttons more than the the touch controls, however, these are better touch controls than, say, the Beats Studio Buds or something. You can map them to your liking in the app. My only gripe is if I got like an itch or I need to adjust them, I can accidentally affect the volume, which I set to 1-Touch. But it's not terrible, and I've been wearing these to bed often, and unlike the beats or Sony's I once had, simply laying on the pillow sideways will not affect the touch controls. COMFORT Far and away, these are much more comfortable than the Pros. They are lighter weight, and, as stated above, often wear them to bed. They are still not exactly made for sleep, but are comfortable enough to not be too wearisome for side sleepers. The FitPros I could wear for like 2-3 hours, sometimes less, before ear fatigue set in. These don't give me ear fatigue, hardly at all. Plus, the buds themselves are articulated up and down so you can really hone in on the sound of it if your ears are misshapen like mine. If I had to say what the number 1 feature on these are, it's the comfort. CASE There is a case, and it is basically the same size as the Pros. Nothing else to see here. It functions fine. CONCLUSION Are these a worthy upgrade? In terms of comfort, YES, all day. But in terms of everything else? Um, yeah, not really. The sound is about the same as the last generation minus the heavier bass and slightly more muddied mids, and you lose AptX. Maybe there will be an AeroFit 2 "PRO" version that adds this back in? I don't know. But for over-ear design, these are some of the better ones you can buy, but maybe not $99 bucks worth. I would say wait until they go on sale.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Comfortable, Great Sound, and I Can Still Hear What’s Around Me! I’m really impressed with the Soundcore AeroFit 2 earbuds! The open-ear design is probably my favorite part because I can listen to music or take calls without completely blocking out everything happening around me. They’re also really comfortable, and being able to adjust the position makes a huge difference in getting the right fit. The sound quality is excellent, with surprisingly good bass for open-ear headphones, and calls come through clear on both ends. The battery life is another huge plus—I can use them for a long time without constantly worrying about charging them. I also love having wireless charging and the real-time translation feature. They feel well made, stay comfortably in place, and have quickly become my go-to earbuds for everyday use. If you want good sound without having something stuck inside your ear, these are definitely worth trying. I would absolutely recommend them!

1 star is harsh but gosh, I have so many issues with these that just kept piling on over time, I couldnt even do half a year with these earbuds. To start, I am coming off of Samsung Galaxy Live Buds that were about 5 years old at this point. They are the most comfortable buds I found that you dont physically stick a little piece in your ear, they just rest securely in your ear and I can use them while working out, sleeping etc and I figured these would be a good one since theyre highly rated, thousands of reviews, about 4.4* at the time of writing this, and frankly I cannot understand it. Every user has a different experience with products and I was one of those that were maybe unlucky, got minor issues with the product (that pile up) or just frankly dont know how to use these things. Comfort and Stability I found them to be a less comfortable than my previous buds, but they were fine, some discomfort with longer periods of use. There are 3 settings you can click the earbuds in to get a better fit. Secure enough, but Ive never been quite confident in them. Ive had them pop off during car rides, slip off during exercise (nothing rigorous) and even just laying sideways would result in one eventually coming out unless there is pressure on it (like laying your ear on a pillow). Frankly, minor things that I would mention to someone thinking about buying. Soundcore App Its fine, I was able to swap the short 1 press to be nothing and the long 1 press to be pause/play. Winner in my book, accidental touches arent as much of an issue with that. You can see the battery level of the case and the buds while connected via bluetooth but if the buds are charging in the case you cannot see their level unless you open it up. Dual connection is also very nice if you go between multiple devices. Sound Quality Its good, Im not expecting much from buds but these were better than my previous buds. However, over time Ive noticed that I had to jack up the volume to hear my music, to a point where it was maxed on my phone and I still felt it wasnt loud enough. Others could hear my music and I was sitting here trying to increase the volume still. I clean them routinely with isopropanol wipes along with the case but I guess they got super gunked up in the speaker portion. Ill probably end up taking these to an ultrasonic cleaner to bring it back to life in terms of sound. Lets get to the things that resulted in my HATING these things. Charging Starting with the charging, the buds just lay in the case and there are two pins that make contact with the buds and charge them. Great, we've seen them plenty of times, however, numerous times I have pulled my earbuds from the case and come to 1 fully charged bud, 1 dead bud. Why? I dont know for sure. I can only assume that the space in the case is so tight between the two earbuds that putting one in the case might knock the other off the contacts (the wire that wraps around your ears touch between the two earbuds while in the case) resulting in a non charging bud. You have a light on the case that shows a bud got placed in but thats it. You would think it could be like, a half LED light that says, the left bud is in, or the right, or a full LED bar if both are in, but it doesnt show that on the case. You can only hope that BOTH are charging. It has happened so many times to me that I will push down on the area that makes contact to ensure they are charging. I sometimes use 1 earbud at a time and swap, so swapping to a dead one is pretty frustrating, but equally as frustrating after putting my earbuds in, case in the bag and realizing one is dead. Connectivity The equally frustrating problem I have is connectivity with the earbuds. My morning while Im trying to get out of the door is throwing the buds in my ear, case in the bag (dont want it in my pocket) and Im out the door before I get my music or podcasts going. Once Im on the street and get it going do I notice sound only coming out of one ear....but didnt we just go over this? No, separate issue. The bud did not connect with my phone properly, it could be fully charged and have this problem come up. How do you fix this? Well just place the non-working bud back in the case (that you threw in your bag or left at home) and pop it back in your ear and problem solved. Dont have the case with you? Tough, you cannot use it. Easily solvable? Sure but why do I need to do this, I dont even have this issue with 3 dollar Woot buds. I really wanted to like these, have really tried to give it a chance and tried to work with the issues I have with it but it is such a bummer to spend this much money on this type of experience. I am happy for those who have these and love them, but good lord, these brand new buds have taken the backup position and even made me think "Do I need to listen to music/podcasts for the next couple of hours"? It has been a frustrating experience using these. I have been using my Galaxy Live buds again, dont have charging or connectivity issues with those, and they stay in my ear better and sound just fine after 5 years, so why couldnt these do it for me for even 1 year? Extremely frustrated with this purchase.

I feel like I already wrote a review, but if so, this is an update on my March 2025 purchase. I got the AeroFit 2 in March 2025 (in blue, if that matters). I love it! Great battery life (if I listen all day long to audiobooks, YouTube, etc, they last about 10-12 hours before fully draining the battery). For ease of use of the earbuds and the app, they get 5 stars, too. I like being able to set different options on the left and right earbuds, and change the volume profile to optimize for spoken word vs music. And it's fantastic at blocking out noises for the person on the other end of a phone call! We have a very vocal cat, and no one can hear him. Here's why it's actually getting a 3-star review: 1) After about 3 months the left earbud volume is stuck on the lowest setting. Even with volume cranked all the way up, I can barely hear anything. It's not my hearing. I checked other earphones and have no trouble hearing on the left ear. Full disclosure, I did drop the case a couple times and the earbuds spilled out both times (after which I put stickers on the case to make it more grippy), so maybe the left bud got damaged. 2) Intermittently, when I pull the earbuds out of the case, the left one doesn't activate. I have to put it back in the case and close it, then open it and take the earbud out again. It always works the second time. Probably the same thing that affects the left volume is causing the inability to turn on. 3) This one is nitpicky because I'm a woman with long hair and like to wear earbuds all the time. The touch-control on the earbuds are super sensitive. When I have wet hair, I have to turn off the controls (through the app) because the brush of my wet hair triggers the controls constantly, making volume fluctuate, pausing playback, etc. My partner also has a pair of these (it was either get him a pair or he would steal mine) from April 2025, his still work perfectly, he would give them a 5-star review. And, if it matters, I'm buying another pair to replace mine and I'll keep the defective set as a backup.

I have owned a pair of original Anker AeroFits for about 3 years now (I have really oily ears so traditional earbuds slip out), and they have been phenomenal. They still work just fine; I just started using them when I go to sleep (both for videos I fall asleep to and my alarm) and I wanted to have one dedicated set for that and the other pair for everything else. At first I was a little bit disappointed that they discontinued the original model and now have this newer model that is VERY different from the original, but just about everything that is different is an upgrade. The sound quality is much better, and you can make a lot of personalized edits to the audio settings on the app. The sound volume is fantastic! On my original AeroFit earbuds, I often had to have the volume all the way up if there was any kind of ambient noise. On the new model, I have the volume turned all the way down when I'm inside doing nothing, and with the volume all the way up, it's so loud it genuinely hurts my ears (that's a good thing!). Apparently the app also supports live translations, an AI assistant, and a ton of other features I wouldn't have even expected out of a pair of earbuds like this! As for the battery life, the technical specs show 10 hrs on one charge, 42 hours for the charge in the case included, which is just one hour less than the original model, which has an amazingly long battery life, so I expect much of the same here. The ONLY two even remote complaints that I would have is that the earbuds are ever so slightly less comfortable than the original ones, but they still feel natural, almost weightless, and it's well worth it for everything else to be upgraded. The other thing just being that the case is a little bit larger the original, but not by much. Other than that, these earbuds are an absolute dream and I love them! They have more features than I will ever need; and the features that I will use (like custom button controls and custom audio settings) make these the best earbuds that I have had the pleasure of using.

Best Open-Ear Headphones. Good value for the money.

I received the AeroFit2 earbuds yesterday and absolutely love them! Having small ears, I was concerned they may not be suitable, however they fit perfectly straight out of the case, without adjusting them, and stay firmly in place (except when I pulled my jumper off over my head). I wore the earbuds throughout today and they fit so comfortably that I forgot I was even wearing them. No sore ears like I’ve experienced with other devices: I also wore them with my sunglasses without any problem. The audio is clear and the button customization is easy to set up and use. I finally have a pair of earbuds that fit and stay put and couldn’t be happier.
