Replacement GFCI Plug for Pressure Washer Pool Pump 15Amp 3 Prong Circuit Breaker Outdoor Waterproof Auto-Reset 120V

Picture this: my teenage son, like a lawn-blade-wielding tornado, mows right over the end of our pool pump plug. Cue dramatic gasp. I thought the pump was toast—until I found this Replacement GFCI Plug. Let me tell you, it fixed everything like a dream. Installation was shockingly easy (pun intended): three wires in, screw in the cover, test, reset—and boom, the pump roared back to life. It even has auto-reset and trips in 0.03 seconds if there’s a leak—so less worry, and more backyard chill time. It’s a solid, waterproof, UL-listed plug that’s not just for pressure washers—it’s the MVP for pool pumps, heaters, you name it. Bottom line: If your kid has turned your pool pump into obstacle course fodder, this plug is the superhero you didn’t know you needed.

My Ryobi 2000 psi 1.2 GPM pressure washer suddenly stopped working. I determined that it was the large GFCI plug that had gone bad. I searched for a replacement and found the Wellong plug. To replace my plug, I unplugged the unit from power any disassembled my old plug by carefully removing a bunch of tiny screws on the plug to expose the wiring inside. From memory, these screws were either tiny torx or Allen screws, so make sure you have a set on hand to do this. I photoed the orientation of the three wires inside and how they were connected and then unscrewed the terminal clamps that held them down. I moved to the new plug and installed the wires inside exactly the same orientation and then buttoned the new plug up by installed the cover and all the tiny screws. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THESE TINY SCREWS. there is absolutely no benefit to over tightening a fastener, especially ones like these that are only securing a cover. With everything fitting together nicely, I connected my hose, turned the water on, bled the pressure washer gun for 30 seconds and plugged the unit in to an outlet. She fired right up! I tested the functionality of the GFCI outlet by pressing the test and reset buttons. Everything worked just like it originally had. I was very pleased to have my pressure washer working again. I give this 5 stars. The price was great and this plug was nearly identical to the one it replaced. It also has a rubber gasket that seals the cases to prevent water intrusion. That’s a big plus. I’ll post a picture of the unit that I put this on so people will have confirmation that this will work for them if they have the same/similar Ryobi model.

Was able to use them, but wonder if I ever have to remove them if the heads will still be intact. Would advise to use your own screws. Duration of use: 1.5 years Ease of Use/Assembly/Install: **** (4 star) As mentioned, had to fiddle with the screws longer than necessary, so removed a star. Should have just used the old rusted screws from the original plug which probably would have worked better. Usefulness/Appearance/Fun Factor: ***** (5 star) All in all, got the job done! Pressure washer is back up and running.

Maybe I shouldn't down rate this for durability since I just installed it, but the original on the Intex filter died after just 2 years while being hung up on a post where it stayed dry and shielded from a lot of the elements. Installation was as easy as it could have been. The 4 screws that attach the plastic cover are very soft and were not a natural fit for the holes in the plug body. It took a lot of force/effort and the destruction of two of the included screws before I could get the cover screwed on tightly. Luckily I had the 4 spares from the old plug. For $18 it works just fine and will probably give you a few solid years of performance. Not the best performer or build but for the price it is tough to beat

As you can see in my first 3 pics, my old plug was severely bent and the power washer quit working. We may or may not have ran it over with the car. Oops!! We have a Greenworks power washer. I was thinking I would have to get a new one, until I stumbled on this plug replacement. I’m not an electrician or know much about replacing cords so I was hesitant to switch plugs. As you can also see, my old plug doesn’t have a ground and this new plug does. After watching a few YouTube videos, I realized how easy this repair was! Even I could do it! Everything you need is in the package. You unscrew the bottom 2 screws of the old plug to access the wiring harnesses. You unscrew the wires from the old plug. In the new plug, you unscrew the 4 screws at the bottom to access that wire harness area. It’s very well marked which wires go where. Black, white, and ground are all marked. Because mine doesn’t have a ground, I didn’t have a wire for that prong. I screwed in my wiring from the old cord into the new plugs wire harness. I kept my old rubber “plug” on the cord that fits into the base of the plug casing. There is one that comes in this packaging but I saved that in case mine were to split someday (or we run it over again 🙈). I finished by screwing on the plate for the new plug. Crossed my fingers I didn’t burn the garage down when I turned it on. Pushed the on button for the power washer and it worked perfectly! I didn’t burn the house down! Yay!! Super easy repair and I don’t have to buy new one. Double win!

I was ready to submit a warranty claim on my pump when suddenly it didn't power on anymore after we had an outage. Then I noticed the condensation in the little window above the test and reset buttons. I read that can ruin the GFCI and tried to dry it out with a hairdryer but it didn't work. So I googled and found out that you can just replace that part of the cord. Another reviewer said this was an exact replica and he was right. It took only 5 minutes to replace and after my pool sat for 3 days without the pump running, it came on instantly! Thrilled to have fixed it for $18 with 2 day delivery!
