Feels like it is using more than it does
Can a low-flow shower head be as good as a regular shower head? This product proves that it is. I bought the shower head because we live in Las Vegas. Our primary water source comes from Lake Mead. Lake Mead water is at historic lows. We could run out of water sometime in the future. I wanted to find a way to conserve as much water as possible. I also wanted to save a good amount of money on my water bill. I originally found low-flow shower heads when I discovered the Moen Nebia. It seemed magical that it could give you the same shower experience while using less water. I wanted to buy it until I discovered the price. It is $212 for the cheapest one. I found that pretty outrageous that it cost as much as a brand new smartphone just to save water. I discovered this product while browsing on Amazon, it is the same exact concept as the Nebia. It is supposed to save Water by restricting the flow. The price is way cheaper than Nebia. About 13 times cheaper. I Decided to buy this because it is very affordable and also includes the 10-year warranty. I first tried the product today and it is very enjoyable to use. For starters, the design looks unusual to say the least. I like the metallic, chrome look on it is way narrower than other shower heads, but it still looks pretty good. It kind of looks like a tuna cactus fruit in my setup. The design is very subjective, but I don't mind it. The build quality also feels better than decent. It is all plastic, but it does have some heft and doesn't creak or flex when squeezing it, which is good. The best part when it comes to its build quality is that when you turn on the water and turn it off, it doesn't drip water. This is a step up compared to other shower heads. This means it probably a high quality valve or seal mechanism. I have noticed however that it doesn't keep a straight spray and it kind of Wiggles, which is unusual but not a big deal. Using this product is amazing. It uses 0.5-1.5 gallons per minute, which is way less than the average shower head that uses 2.5 gallons of water. Despite that, however, it feels like it's using way more than that. It was able to give me the same experience as my old shower head while using less water. It was the perfect amount of pressure, and the distribution is very even. This just proves that you don't have to sacrifice comfort to save water The pressure is also higher, which is surprising. That can be a good thing depending on your water pressure. If you have a higher than average water pressure than this thing might feel like needles. I have an average water pressure oh, and this thing gives me the perfect amount of pressure. Most of the time, I use the 0.5 – 1.0 setting, since it is adequate for me. The 1.5 setting is a little too much pressure for me. Overall, this is an amazing shower head that's going to save money and water. It is just as comfortable as any other 2.5 GPM shower head, while using less. The building is sturdy enough to last a good amount of time. The design is subjective but doesn't look bad. There are no sacrifices of this water low flow shower head except for the design. Anybody one that cares about saving their water bill and the environment should buy this. It is the same price as other shower heads. I have a good feeling this is going to pay for itself in about a couple weeks.

Great adjustable control to low flows
Very pleased with this, offers nice control of flow to low levels and allow me to take a steamy hotter shower for longer with less water and energy use. The spray pattern is a bit wide but that works for my medium-sizes shower stall because I am close to the shower head. It is super easy to turn it up when you want more flow to rinse and then turn it down when you want minimal flow to lather up. Thumbs up on this showerhead

saving tons of water but challenges with tankless water systems
Please correct the picture. I bought 2 and both were white plastic with a gray ring (photo shows chrome with a black ring). Dealing with the drought here in California, I wanted try out different showerheads. This one is great however you should expect to make some sacrifices compared to the typical showerheads out there. Wife hates it because the water does splatter over a wide area and she claims the water "hurts" when it hits her neck and chest (I didn't really notice so I'll take her word for it). I do have to remind her that we are in a drought so using this showerhead is a much better alternative than taking a much shorter shower using the old one. There are 3 settings--1.5g/m , 1.0g/m and 0.5g/m. I didn't measure it but you can tell that you're using much less water. I switched from a 1.5g/m Delta fixed setting shower head which, if accurate, seems to be the best compromise between water saving, appearance, and shower comfort. I wanted something that saved even more water and potentially put in my kid's shower. I found that you can get use to the 1.0g/m setting for general shower use switching to 1.5g/m mode to rinse out shampoo and soap and using 0.5g/m mode to lather up. Sure it's more work but I'm not sacrificing shower time and I figure I'm saving a ton of water so I think it's worth it. You should be aware that 0.5g/m setting was too low for my tankless water heater which heats up water only when hot water is flowing through the pipes. 0.5g/m should be enough to trigger it but most shower valves automatically mixes in cold water likely resulting to about 0.3g/m of hot water which tricks the water heater into thinking hot water is no longer needed. I have to start my shower in the higher settings and switch to the 0.5g/m setting after it's hot and only for a minute or two max. You also should know that because the water droplets are so small, it comes out almost like a mist (especially in the 0.5g/m setting) which feels considerably colder. It's not much of a concern right now since I'm in Fresno and it's ridiculously hot right now and I can increase the water temperature. Come winter, things may be different. I'm hesitant putting this in my kid's shower because of all the overspray. My shower has sliding shower doors while my kid's tub has a shower curtain. I'm worried that the kids won't be so diligent keeping the curtain sides closed tight and the showerhead angled properly and allowing water to get past the tub. All in all, I like this showerhead and recommend it to anyone looking to seriously save water.

Save water, save money, no compromise.
Wow! I cannot say enough fantastic things about this shower head! I try to tell as many people about this thing as I can. This has 3 settings, 0.5gpm, 1.0gpm, and 1.5 gpm. Installation is so simple that anyone who can get their hands above their shoulders for 5 minutes should be able to do it. You might need an adjustable wrench to add a little tension, but that's it. This arrived with 1' of white plumbers tape, in a clean recyclable package. Once the unit is installed, it's ready to go. You can adjust the water setting by twisting the black ring to one of the three settings, even while the water is running through it. At 0.5gpm, this thing gently soaks the user in a shower of rain, although it's a little bit less than what you'd need to shampoo hair. If you can tolerate waiting an extra minute to rinse though, this will save a ridiculous amount of water. At 1.0gpm, (preferred setting), you can easily shower and rinse shampoo. The force of the water is mild, however, the conical spread is narrow. At 1.5 gpm, this thing feels absolutely drenching. I don't typically use this setting, but it works well when you need to shower because-you-overslept-and-now-you're-late-for-work. The force of the water is fairly strong, but nothing that should cause skin irritation. I have been using this for over a year now, and after turning the setting switch thousands of times, it hasn't failed or leaked yet. I am truly impressed, and as soon as this breaks, (if ever), I will immediately purchase another. Oh, by the way, compared to a 2.5gpm shower head, this thing will probably cut your water heating bill down to 1/3-1/2 of what it is now!

Horrible spray settings
A solution horrible. Do not buy. The way the water shoots out is very weird. If you put it low almost nothing comes out on high it hurts your face. The water is .the water shoots out in a very spread out fashion. Its not a uniform expected spray. I am forced to look for something else only had it about a week. Dont buy this

Easy to install and high quality
We live in Alaska and pay 11cents a gallon to have our water delivered. Every gallon used counts! I like the shower head. It looks solid and it was easy to install. I’ll find out in the next few weeks if it is saving some water. It would be nice to be able to take a bit longer hot shower when it is -40 out!

Best if using as little water as possible is your primary goal
I've used a lot of different low flow shower heads over the years, and when we moved into a new house I decided to try this new offering from the same company that makes the "Niagra". We previously used this model and were very happy with it: Niagara Earth Massage Handheld - 1.5gpm Bottom line: * If saving water really feels good to you and you are willing to adjust the head while you shower, you may enjoy this * If you are far away from the showerhead (it's mounted high or you're short), stay away There are two unusual features in this unit: Feature 1 is oscillating flow: this head combines a "spray style" (rather than "stream style") low-flow head with an internal spinning element powered by the water similar to what you may have experienced on "massage" shower head settings. In this case it operates all of the time, and the result is a reduction in water use; maybe 1/3 of the nozzles are spraying at full blast at any given time while the others are barely going. But because the stronger spray rotates around, it (sort of) gives the impression of a higher-flow head. Feature 2 is adjustable water flow: as described in the writeup, you have three choices: * .5gpm: best for soaping up. This is my favorite feature- unlike other heads which have valves which allow you to shut off the flow entirely, the .5gpm setting keeps things nice and warm while you soap, while using a minimal amount of water. The water coming out during this setting gets hotter; I suspect this is not an intentional feature and it may nbe a quirk of our plumbing, but the result is good. * 1.0gpm: for rinsing off your body. It works. * 1.5gpm: for rinsing your hair. Besides a higher volume of water, this spray is rather vigorous. but because of the oscillation (as described above) it doesn't use as much water as you would think. This may be uncomfortable for some on the skin, but works pretty well on the hair. The result of these two features working together is a study in compromise; the 1.5gpm would be plenty of water, but it's delivered in a forceful way that isn't entirely comfortable. At 1.0 you have more comfortable spray, but the reduction in water and comfort compared with 1.5gpm shower heads is noticeable. For me, neither is "just right". The main problem with the unit is the fact that the spray pattern is very wide, and it "spits" a lot- if you are facing the shower head, there's enough spray falling outside the "main" cone that your face will be constantly splattered, which is not very pleasant. Like many other "spray"-style heads, the water loses temperature very quickly as you get further from the head. As a result, if your shower head is mounted high or if you are short, you get a very diffuse spray that doesn't rinse well or feel comfortable, and if you turn up the hot water enough to be nice and warm, your bathroom will become very steamy. In my case, being on the tall side and getting a great deal of enjoyment from saving water, I'd keep it. But my wife doesn't like it at all, so we'll be ordering one of the Niagra units instead. AM Conservation... if you are listening, my ideal shower head would be one of the Niagra units with the "massage" setting replaced by the tri-max's .5gpm setting for soaping. Get on that!

Great Spray Pattern On A Water Saver Head
This review is for the Niagara Conservation - Tri-Max 3 Flow Rate Showerhead 0.5 / 1.0 / 1.5 GPM.I don't often leave reviews but sometimes feel I should with certain items.I have always been concerned with the amount of potable water that we use for showering. Finally one day after researching 1000's of options,I went for the Niagra Tri-Max.It is a very good head and has just enough pressure to be pleasant but at the same time conserving water. It does pulsate on the 1.5 and 1.0 settings like a massaging head which is nice. The .5 gallon setting is perfect to lather up and then blast it with the medium or high setting to rinse off.You will have picky people give these a bad review but if you are considerate of this earth and want to do your part, you will find that this head has the perfect balance.I hope this helps someone! effectively saves water
saves water no doubt but my husband dislikes the pressure difference

Ideal para baja presión
Funciona muy bien con presión atmosférica sin necesidad de hidroneumático. Le daría 5 estrellas si hubiera manera de desarmarla para mantenimiento.

Buen producto, necesita alta presion
El producto es de buena calidad a pesar de ser plástico cromado, para que funcione bien con el menor caudal de agua se necesita agregar una bomba para aumentar la presión.
