Wine/Beer Thief, 19 Long

Bottom valve a little weak, some spillage when removing, otherwise would be 5star, a great idea for obtaining a sample of your beer or wine

Works pretty good. Is light plastic, not glass. So pretty durable without worry. Arrived ok. Whoever is in charge of packaging at the company though…. Don’t you think the cardboard was supposed to be over the END of the bag? The tool could’ve fallen out, plus this left it exposed to all kinds of dirt and dust.

Does its job. dripps a little from the valve but this seems to be an issue with most all wine thieves, just use something to catch the drips as you transfer your sample. Fits into the neck of a carboy. Holds a descent sample, usually enough for a hygrometer reading unless the carboy is filled too low.

It's just what I wanted but it doesn't fit in my coboy

This wine thief does everything a wine or beer producer requires when making products in 23 litre carboys. It fits the carboy and self-holds at the right level allowing hydrometers and alcoholometers to self-clean of bubbles. The valve seals well. Its long, slender seal tip can be easily broken if sloppy, but any producer knows that and is careful. It should last for years if cared for. A good bargain!
