Could really feel the time the jet had left as the pages grew thinner and thinner in my hands, making it more addictive and emotional, a strong and emotional ending, leaving you in shock and sadness. I got the sprayed edges edition, it looks beautiful as well as the dust jacket. Really a must read, definitely the best book I’ve read, Written so well. A 5 star read. Review: Cool mystery with a nice twist - 📚 Title: Not Quite Dead Yet ✍️ Author: Holly Jackson (@hojay92) 🗂️ Genre: Crime, Thriller, Mystery ❤️ Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I really enjoyed this one, it took a little while to get up to speed but once it got going it was a real page turner with enough twisting and turning to keep me guessing until (nearly) the end. The story revolves about Jet, the daughter of a wealthy couple, who is brutally attacked and left with a condition that will kill her in just a few days. Given an impossible choice, Jet embarks on a journey to try to solve her own murder before her time runs out. The premise is a really cool one, it forces a sense of urgency and impending peril that is maintained from start to end. Because Jet is on such a tight timeframe, the story unfolds at a breakneck pace, almost feeling at times like its happening in real time. The past of the small collection of main characters becomes more and more intertwined, with more layers of the story being peeled away as Jet's time slowly runs out. I think this would make a great holiday read for the summer.
