I'll only be using these temporarily in some locations - but that is NOT the product's fault (more on that later). Hence still five stars for what it says it is and does. And for the price point, which is a better price than any of the others I found that appear to be of good quality. At first it appears these deflectors don't expand as advertised, but they do - they arrive pushed together so perfectly they don't look at all like they are two pieces. Once I figured that out I had no trouble expanding them and applying them to my registers. These are thinner than some but still very sturdy, more than rigid enough for their purpose. The supplied magnets hold firmly on my steel registers. They do not rattle or make any other noise. TL;DR: The reason I won't be using them for long in the locations I had bought them for. (I will still be using them in other locations as they do help.) I have ceiling registers located 6-8" from my walls and pointed inward to the room. My ceilings are 8'. The air blows out and slightly downward so right on the seating area. It just isn't comfortable when the HVAC is running (right now it is A/C). As a test, I made some 12" deflectors (out of shallow Amazon cardboard shipping boxes LOL). I cut away one side and the top to make a "scoop" over the register. It directs the air horizontally along the ceiling well past the register. No more air blowing directly on anyone and my rooms are very comfortable now. But not pretty... The listed dimensions of this product are accurate, so I knew when I bought them they are shallow and also point slightly downward, and might not work for my specific situation. They are better than no deflector but no match for my Amazon Box Deflector invention. I still feel some air blowing on us. They are, howver, much prettier. I am now on the hunt for a clear plastic "scoop" piece I can add to the front of these deflectors, to mimic my Amazon Box Deflector and look halfway decent.

I have used other vent deflectors in the past and I came across these because those other deflectors constantly needed replacement. These are heavy duty THICK plastic with 3 strong AF magnets. They have a very pretty prism like design which think will deflect dust and help with antiyellowing from sun and heat. Let me tell you where these deflectors rise above and beyond the competition. 1) when you slide and adjust the size, the two halves STAY IN PLACE and NO heat or cool air escapes through the 2 halves! The others I had to tape together! 2) there are more magnets (3)(and they are strong and Stay put!) So strong that when I went to remove the register vents to mop the floor I could lift them out by the deflector! 3) these are lower in height and actually lay flush against the metal register! I wouldn't say they they are suitable for under a couch or anything , but they sit below the trim of our floor to ceiling windows ( others were too tall and constantly had to be readjusted when I opened and closed the curtains) These 3 factors will do exactly what it is supposed to do and BETTER than all the rest. No more ruffling of curtains nor wasted heat or cool air up and out the windows! BTW, customer service is awesome!

These were a really good value in comparison to our hardware chain stores. I really like that there is a magnet on the back to also cling to the duck vent. Used these for both floors and ceils. Works great to regulate air flow. Clear color and size is ideal - great that they're adjustable. Zero noise.

Worked great. Was concerned about using on overhead vents but the magnetic attachments are super strong!

I have ordered several products from Liemand (company) and I am impressed at the quality of the products, how professionally packaged everything is and the extra touch of receiving a thank you message after ordering. I’ve been an Amazon customer for many years and this is the best company I’ve come across in quality and customer care. These vent covers have a strong magnet that stays on my older vents. I am guessing from the other reviews that say the magnets aren’t strong enough that maybe the newer vents aren’t made of the same materials since these vents covers are a strong magnetic snap when placed on the vents. Probably should check your vents before buying. I’m very happy with these. This is my second purchase, I bought the 2 count before to check these out. Thanks, Liemand!

I like the option to screw it into place. I only installed with the magnets first to make sure I have them in best position. I readjusted a couple, and will go back and screw them in later!
