These D batteries are legit. I use them for my lanterns, flashlights, and a couple of larger household gadgets, and they hold up just as well as the name-brand ones—just without the name-brand price. I was shopping off-brand batteries and these came up. I basically asked Rufus for help here because I didn't feel like paying Duracell prices for literally 2% more "performance." These are supposed to be about 98% of any big brand battery-in fact, they probably literally are the big brand batteries in a yellow Amazon wrapper. Among disposable batteries, the only ones worth any kind of upcharge are Energizer's Lithium disposable batteries... but these are just for emergency lights around the house. They'll be replaced about every three years regardless of charge, so they can be cheap. They just have to do the job.
