Has butyloctyl salicylate which is a chemical
Ok this product is amazing. I absolutely love love this! It isn't tacky no matter if I use something underneath like a serum or face cream. It glides on smooth and doesn't look as shiny and crazy as I thought and saw on some reviews. It's actually so light weight i don't feel I have it on there's no pungent scent and it's easily spread like butter! I absolutely love it 50+spf. BUT it's misleading to say this is mineral as it has a chemical ingredient butyloctyl salicylate which on Amazon ingredient list it doesn't list only once you receive the product do you see this and yes on thier website they do actually list all the product ingredients. For this reason alone I will be returning the product I already wrote to the company to let them know of this and hope they will remove it as it's not regulated by the fda and no ones knows how safe this chemical really is.

Looks fancy and feels nice on skin
The packaging of this sunscreen really caught my eye,it looks more like a luxury skincare product than regular sunscreen. The pump works smoothly and makes it easy to control how much I use. I have sensitive skin and this didn’t sting or feel heavy at all. It blends in without any white cast and leaves a soft, slightly glowy finish. I’ve been using it under makeup and it sits well without pilling. It feels more like a moisturizer with sun protection, which I really like.

Pricey sunscreen with blendable zinc oxide
Brightening mineral sunscreen - what does that even mean? The Ravanat Brightening Mineral Face Sunscreen (with a Broad-Spectrum SPF 50 rating) seems like a regular old fashioned sun protectant. I get that it does not contain some scary new fangled chemicals, but it only has one active ingredient. And that is an oldie but a goodie, in a way. It is zinc oxide, like what we all used to put on our noses. Zinc oxide, really?? And for this cost?? To me, it smells ok, and moisturizes ok, but for this kind of money, I would expect it to contain something a little more high tech, or maybe some new breakthrough organic substance, or something. Just because it does not leave a white residue with applications is not enough for me to spend this amount of money on a sunscreen with that ingredient.

Feels oily, packaging was opened when I received it, stings if gets in eyes at all
Major red flag is that the packaging was OPEN when I received it, and there was an unidentified speck in the tip. Other than the sticker on the outside, there are no safety seals on the product, so I possibly got a product that has already been used by other person. Super gross.I did test the sunscreen anyway because that is what I signed up for and it feels super oily and gross on the skin. Some may call it "dewy", but I say greasy. Yuck. Plus, it stings like a MOTHER if you get it into your eyes. I rubbed the corner of my eye late in the day and accidently transferred a minute amount of the sunscreen into my eye and suddenly everything burned and my eye was watering and I partially knocked my contact out blinking so much (plus, I was driving.....).So, for how insanely expensive this sunscreen is, how oily it feels, and the company's overall flippant approach to consumer safety, do not buy this. So disappointed.

Quality ingredients but priced too high
I wanted to like this, but it fell short for me. At $65 for a comparatively small quantity, I really expected more. The texture is a bit runny. I prefer a more creamy feel that is easy to apply and not messy. It honestly felt more oily than hydrating. When I put it on it reminded me more of the baby oil tanning era than a sunscreen.

A rare mineral sunscreen that doesn’t make you look like a ghost
The media could not be loaded. It is shockingly hard to find a mineral sunscreen that doesn’t leave a white cast or feel like chalky paste. This one from Ranavat is the rare exception. It blends in smoothly, feels like skincare, and somehow manages a soft, radiant finish without the usual mineral drama. The ingredient list reads like a luxury facial: saffron, turmeric, lotus, bakuchi, rose, and even centella—all known for soothing and brightening. And with 12.3% zinc oxide, you’re still getting serious UV protection without compromising your skin barrier. The packaging is absolutely beautiful, and the fact that it’s made in the USA with this kind of attention to detail adds to the appeal. For less than 2 oz, it’s definitely a splurge—but one that feels justified if you’re tired of compromising on mineral SPF.

Walking oil slick
This sunscreen comes in very luxurious packaging, it looks and is very expensive. The sunscreen has a barely noticeable scent which disappears shortly after application. The sunscreen is a lotion consistency, not runny but not thick, it has a slight beige tiny which is completely invisible on the skin once applied. The recruit is very lightweight, however, I don't like the finish. It's extremely oily and stays very oily looking on the skin. My face literally looks like a mirror, not a great result honestly. I would much prefer for the sunscreen to be more of a satin glow rather than a reflection finish. Also the cream doesn't quite absorb, it stays sitting on top of my skin so there's no way I can apply makeup or even a cream blush on top, it will go schmearing around in seconds.

Favorite facial sunscreen
This is the best facial sunscreen I’ve tried! It’s on expensive side but I think it’s worth it. It is very lightweight, doesn’t leave any sticky or white residue and it glides smoothly over my skin. There’s some tinted tone to it but it really blends into skin and doesn’t leave anything to interfere with foundation and my make up. It does give nice glow! I love that part. It feels like skincare and skin protection at the same time. It has nice mild scent, nothing bothering or very noticeable. Perfect addition to my AM care!
