Great Game
It’s a great game. It does have a learning curve, and it’s not a walk in the park guaranteed gonna win kind of game. However, I had a lot of fun playing it and I’m probably gonna get some expansions. UPDATE: So I’ve really gotten into this game. After a few run throughs I’ve learned the mechanics and it is very fun. I like that every gearloc does something different. I usually play with two characters playing solo. I’ve expanded my collection buying Age of Tyranny, which is a must as the only really repetitive thing of the base game is the first three days. That add-on solve that problem. I also recently bought two more characters from the local board game store and I’m looking forward to playing them. It is a fun game and takes about two hours to play. Set up is not that difficult either.

Hardcore game for Hardcore Gamers
This game is up there with Gloomhaven with content, but has a much better rule book. Any hardcore gaming Chad will be able to make sweet sweet love to this beautiful die-based RPG game & its beast of a rule book. Even picking locks is more complicated than a normal die roller game & I could not be happier. Grab a bottle of Grog & level up them gearlocks B&*^##$. ROLL OUT. Come join the elitist dark-side Plebians.

Great game, but buy it from the publisher!
This is awesome game with high quality production. However, it is only $140 (shipping included) from the actual publisher, Chip Theory Games. Best to support them, not overpriced sellers.

Heavy game, but also heavy on fun
I had Undertow for a long time, but had not attempted to bring it to the table. Once I had this box and a couple of the expansion characters I brought it to my Friday night game group. This game quickly ended up on the table and its been a hit when I've brought it out. The system of having a couple of turns to build up your initial character and then you head into a number of battles while attempting to get to the main fight presents a challenge. Can you prepare the right abilities. Can you trust your allies to have your back? Will the dice like you when you finally roll your attack? There is a lot here and at the same time, the game itself has a surprisingly simple premise and base rule set. Yes, each Gearloc has their own abilities which changes the playstyle quite a bit, but otherwise each game is a series of battles leading to a final boss battle. And its charitable in that being eliminated in one fight does not eliminate you completely. It just means that after the fight you have to use your rest period to heal back to full rather than perform one of the other actions normally available. I do enjoy this game, but I will admit that its not for everyone. A full campaign can take 3-4 hours especially if you have to teach a new player, and the dice can always decide to betray you. But so far every game I've played has ended with everyone saying they had a good time.

No Quality Control
Just received the game and there is a gash sliced down one top side edge of the cover box (looks like a boxcutter). Had to have happened before it was prepped because the shrink wrap around the box was not sliced. The game looks great except for the box top. If this were a collectors item it would have lost 50% of its value before I opened it. Have not started playing yet, but my friends tell me it is a lot of fun.

Ingenious Design but Hard to get to the table
I’ve been into board games for the last 20 years and own more than 1,000 games. Too many bones is a game for advanced gamers. Of all the games I’ve learned to play, this is one of the most difficult. I only recommend it to hardcore gamers. But if you want a unique, dice rolling fantasy adventure game about character building and you’re willing to invest some time, this could be it. The components are unlike any you have ever experienced. Off the chain quality!

Over Priced
I am not a customer of this shipper but it's 100 dollars more than the publisher is selling it for. Game looks amazing, I don't know about you but if I get it I'll buy it from the publisher for 140.00 USD including the shipping.
