potassium chloride
I don't know what exactly to say except that is is potassium chloride. I use mine to make my own electrolyte drinks at home. It cut costs and I know what is in it. This bag has been lasting me a very long time. Quality is good. Price is good per amount.

Passable substitute for many recipes
I've used this several times to add a salty taste to several dishes. Anything that has a lasting aftertaste, or is a slightly bitter dish to begin with, seems to work pretty well with potassium chloride. I've used it in thick stews and soups, salads, and eggs so far. I've still used some salt. In most cases, it's a nice way to keep the sodium intake lower. I'm sure eventually I will find dishes in which I only use the potassium, but I'm still learning. Please note that anything which involves a chemical reaction with sodium will not work with this potassium chloride. Baking is right out.

A Great Salt Substitute; Clean and Ideal for Adding Potassium to Diet
We are happy with this potassium chloride product. The salt powder arrived in a sturdy, zip-lock, plastic bag, which has colorful blue and aqua colors on its surface. The bag gives useful ingredient information (52 mg per serving; 9072 servings per bag), and the whole bag contained two pounds of this salt. The potassium salt has a salt-like crystalline look and texture, seems very clean, and seems to be a wonderful food-grade salt substitute. Its bag brags that it is Non-GMO, Gluten Free, and totally Vegan. For people who love to bake and cook, this bag of potassium chloride, from Baker's Club, is ideal to have on hand. Its two-pound quanity and size make the bag of salt perfect for storing in limited spaces or small containers. The bag's ziplock feature allows easy access and protection of the salt. The salt performs well in cooking and baking, without any noticed problems. Some of our relatives like to just sprinkle this salt directly onto their servings of food at meal time. We feel that this product is definitely worth its cost to buy and we appreciate its heart healthy aspects.

Great option for people with high blood pressure
This stuff has been great for all my soups, spaghetti sauces, chilis and roasted chickens. For the large pot dishes I recommend doing a lot of tasting along the way. I find I need to add more than you would with normal sea salt. For general table salts on eggs and the like I recommend the Lo Salt versus straight potassium chloride. It can be a little funky if you’re tasting it straight. It’s a fantastic option when you use it enough and figure out how much works for each recipe.

Salt Substitute is a good buy
It works well in the salt shaker. It has a very salty taste, so to begin with, use sparingly then add to taste. Compared to grocery store salt substitutes which come in 3oz or so containers, this 2 lb purchase was definitely a good price per ounce.

It's potassium salt
Good if you need to lower your sodium and or increase your potassium. It's the cheapest potassium chloride I've found. The bag is a little more than a normal 26 oz box of regular table salt. The crystal size is the same as table salt.

Definite aftertaste
This does have a very salty flavor but almost immediately gets covered up by a bitter aftertaste. I tried it on rice and it was awful. When I used it on chili it was ok the stronger flavors in the chili masked the aftertaste
