Love this stuff!!! Those small jars at the local stores only last for about 3 meals. If I ate Asian food everyday, I'd be buying by the gallon!

We have bought this SOOOOO many times. Great taste and spice level.

I bought 4 jars last year and one or two of them had leaked, it was hard to tell because all the jars had some leakage on them being in a common package. With all the jars when I screwed off the top the hard part of the sealing had separated from a piece of thin plastic that was attached to the jar. The piece of thin plastic had a crumby surface of some silvery junk with dried leakage of the sauce that had come off the hard part of the seal. There was no use by date on any of the jars. I tried to send them back but it did not allow returns. I was afraid to use them. This week I purchased a jar from a grocery store and the seals were fine, not like the 4 that I purchased here. I gave 3 stars, that is average of 5 for the product and 0 for the vendor MEIWA. Update: I ordered two more jars and those seem fine, and these do have an expiration date on them. The seller was different from my prior purchase. Increased my rating to 4 stars.

I first purchased this when trying to find my perfect blend of flavors for a dish I remembered from childhood. Since then, this is always in my fridge, with backups in the cupboard. My most frequent use is mixing some in when I make a teriyaki style sauce. It blends so nicely with the touch of sweet and salty in that style of sauce! In the summer, a frequent meal in our house is egg-roll-in-a-bowl, with that teriyaki and sambal oelek mixture tossed into the ingredients. I have tried other brands when I ran out and had to wait on an order, and but this is far and away our favorite!

Was on the hunt for this chili paste style of hot sauce and finally asked my favorite local Turkish restaurant what they use. The owner was kind enough to take a photo of the bottle in the kitchen that they pour into smaller bottles. Now I've got it at home! Heat level is perfect, some good kick but not too much. A little goes a long way so this 2 pack is great value for the amount of sauce provided. This stuff is versatile, I'm still trying it on all sorts of foods and have rediscovered my love for eggs as a protein source with this stuff!
