CAFFEINE - for Homemade Formulations and DIY Cosmetics Craft Projects - 200 g (7.06 oz)

I did a sublimation test without doing any other kind of recrystallization so nobody else has to (and please don't. You could accidentally poison yourself doing this test). The surface level results indicate that this is straight up pure caffeine. I don't see any dark residue at the bottom of my beaker, which indicates that it is free of any chemicals that go through the maillard reaction or caramelization. Products that have fillers such as rice flour, lactose, or cellulose leave a nasty dark residue at the bottom of the beaker because they go through these reactions. The only filler I can think of that it could possibly have is maybe maybe some silicon dioxide since that doesn't burn and you can get it in a very white color. Since I don't have time to do any other kind of recrystallization reaction anyone can test this one safely by heating up 100mL of distilled water to about boiling then adding 60 g or less of the caffeine into it . If there's any floating particles that won't dissolve (assuming you're keeping the water hot somehow) that would indicate that there's probably silicon dioxide mixing with this, which would make sense because it prevents caking . The only thing I noticed that indicated something out of the ordinary was a tiny bit of bubbling, but I can probably attribute that to some residual moisture in the air that was absorbed by the powdered caffeine.

first, A WARNING. this product is listed as 100% caffeine powder but the leaflet that comes with the product indicates "not for oral ingestion" (it's meant for some cosmetic purposes). I bought it solely to "ingest" as #1 capsules that hold about 250mg of the powder, equivalent to ca 2-3 cups of coffee. provides a nice "pick me up" but not dangerous. I exercise care in making these capsules, and I know what I'm doing. I've been doing this for many years using caffeine powder from other suppliers. my only concern is the "not for oral use" warning by this supplier -- don't know if they have laced this powder with something that could cause harm (so far I am fine), or what -- could be that it's to avoid legal issues if someone overdoses on the powder and they suffer harm (caffeine in excess amount CAN KILL -- and it doesn't take as much as you might think!). I have medical background, I'm familiar with what I'm doing, my only concern is that "label" warning. if you want to use this for ORAL consumption, even if you are safe making up capsules (NEVER take this with a spoon or the like!), because of that label warning, you could end up with a problem. if something happens TO ME that's MY problem. exercise appropriate judgment. know the risks, know what you're doing. if using this AS INTENDED (cosmetics) I suspect it is up to the task. but since I don't use it for that purpose, I can't comment further.

Use it to make my own energy drinks. Just be careful with it, this stuff can be dangerous.

Great product a little pricey but worth it given how expensive everything is now

Every cup of coffee you drink has acrylamide in it. Also I don’t believe that there aren’t chemicals that are sprayed on the coffee beans to keep them from going bad before they are roasted. This caffeine is pure with no residue of chemicals. Get a mini scale. Measure 200 mg and mix it with a cup of water . That’s about as much caffeine as a strong cup of coffee.
