Instruction reads use 1 capful for every 50 gallons of new water. So a 35% change on 55 gal. tank, takes 1/4 cap? Sounds too good to be true.

Per Seachem's instructions, if you are doing a partial water change of 35%, if you are adding water directly from the tap (such as with a water changer such as a Python or Aqueon) you add enough Prime for the volume of the whole tank. On the other hand, if you're removing 35% and then adding the water using a bucket, you can dechlorinate the amount of each bucket. For example, if you're using a 3 gallon bucket, 6 drops Prime per bucket, and then add that to the tank. The Prime works almost immediately, so just add the drops to the bucket, and then it is ready to pour into your tank.

this removes the chlorine, etc. almost immediately, I add it to the aquarium when doing water changes, ands just pour the water into the tank. remember this just removes the harmful chemicals, your tank will still have to cycle through the nitrogen cycle if you are setting up a new tank.

I end up with alot of foam at the top of my aquariums when I add prime,Have I added too much to my tap water changes,My Tap water is high in iron

The small bottle of prime has a flip cap which allows you to add drops. If you have the large bottle of Prime use an eye dropper. When doing a water change, fill a clean, never seen soap or chemicals bucket of fresh water and add Prime to this fresh water, not directly into your tank - 2 drops per gallon. I also do not get foam. I do a 50 - 60 percent water change weekly along with a gravel vac. If you are stll getting foam after a gravel vac and water change I would suggest you give Seachem a call. They have great customer service. When cleaning your tank, give your filter sponge, floss a swish around in used tank water also to remove some of the gunk and put right back in. Do not rinse in untreated fresh water, by doing so you can lose your cycle.

It will work but there may be less expensive options from a pool dealer. It decholorinates any typerson of water.

A must have for serious aquarium hobbyists

Excellent product, does the job much more efficiently compared to other competitive brands. I was previously using similar water conditioners from few other reputed brands, lost a few fishes over a period of time and some were just not feeling well (darkened colours and swimming on the surface) after regular water changes. Since I used this, I feel I've saved a few fishes from death, they are happy and very lively.

El mejor acondicionador de agua del mercado.

Sí, es el mejor, como casi todos los productos de Seachem, que normalmente suelen ser bastante caros, pero en este caso es la excepción. Mientras en otros casos como Sera, Tetra o Eheim necesitas usar gran cantidad de líquido en este caso ¡¡¡ 5ml son suficientes para 200l de agua !!!, por lo que 500ml servirán para 20.000L. Por eso en este caso el producto es muy rentable y aún no os he contado lo mas importante. Cualquiera que lleve años en acuarofilia habrá probado muchos acondicionadores de muchas marcas, pero no hay mas que leer las funciones del Prime de Seachem para descubrir que es el mejor de todos por las siguientes razones: Elimina el cloro, la cloramina y desintoxica el amoníaco. Convierte el amoníaco en una forma segura y no tóxica que es fácilmente eliminada por el biofiltro del tanque. No es ácido y no afectará el pH. Puede ser utilizado durante el ciclado del acuario para eliminar amoniaco y nitrato tóxico. Elimina nitritos y nitratos, permitiendo al biofiltro del acuario eliminarlos de manera más eficiente. También elimina todos los metales pesados encontrados en el agua. Se recomienda su uso en la puesta en marcha y cada vez que se añada o sustituya el agua. En definitiva es un acondicionador muy bueno, de la mejor marca y que en este caso compensa sobre las demás porque viene muy concentrado. Es probar este y no poder evitar pensar que los demás vienen aguados comparados con el Prime.
