My kitten 4m old seem like doesn’t scratch this at all, she just jump in and out and i use entire half niptic bottle on it. Any idea? Been a week

My 5 cats range in age 6yrs to 14yrs. Four of the 5 scratched in it immediately and also layed in and napped in it. I wondered why because I never put any type of catnip in it. And they are still using it all of the time,even after a couple of weeks. Maybe your kitten hasn't gotten into scratching,yet. Mine are professional scratch post users and some want to use furniture. Can't imagine why mine are so attracted to this odd material, but am glad is money well spent!
