Works, some quirks.
Bought this to store and dry filament mostly as multi-color prints on single nozzle printers can produce a ton of waste. For storing and drying filament, it works well with one caveat, you should not run any abrasive filament through this, it should be fed directly to your extruder. The reason for this is pretty simple, abrasive filaments i.e. glass-filled or carbon-fiber will wear out PTFE tubes and other plastic parts quickly. So, if you do not run any abrasive filaments, this is actually a really solid option for storing and drying filament as long while it's still ready to use as you're working with compatible materials. Obviously drying polycarbonate and PLA in the same space is not going to work super well so you'll want to keep that in mind with this machine.I've only run one multicolor print but it was multicolor on separate objects so I printed by object and got two different colored pieces. It worked exactly as expected, minimal waste and good results. Now, as far as getting this hooked up to the Kobra S1, kind of a pain due to the tiny blue clips you need for the PTFE tubes. They are not easy to remove and replace due to their size which also makes them super easy to lose. Other than that, it was easy and generally works well with the exception of filament misfeeding into the filament guide when putting in a new spool. Sometimes the filament goes in, the machine recognizes there is filament, then it starts trying to pull the filament but the filament is stuck because I didn't get it fed it just right. Annoying, but the idea here is that I don't have to swap spools on the back and not as often.Overall, it's decent for what it is but could be better. I'd also like the ability to feed externally mounted filament easily but that's more about the Kobra S1 than this in particular.

Not a fan
So far I am not a fan of this and don’t recommend it. I bought the S1 combo and before i received it I bought this to make it an 8 color printer. Out of the box from the combo the ace one had problems reading filament in the 1st port. Went round and round with the support and figured bad sensor. Asked them to replace it and they are going to. Which is great. In the meantime my 2nd ace pro came. Out of the box it was much better. Started printing and 11% into the print it jammed in the buffer. I cleared that restarted jammed again same buffer. Cleared it again. Then another port stopped working and now I’m trying to find out why, and hopefully fix that. So 2 ace pros and not a finished print yet. I can probably take the ace pro apart with my eyes closed now, but i cant seem to get it to run long enough to print anything. The printer itself prints well (from the lil bit i have seen since i cant get a full print done). If i wanted to print 1 color i would use my kobra plus which works great. So, I found all the clogs and removed them, and started a large print. Things were going well...until it started having the exact same issue that the 1st Ace Pro I received in the combo had. 23% into the print port 1 stopped reading the filament and gave a broken or abnormal filament error. like the other ace pro any movement to the filament caused the light detecting it to go out and send the error. Received the return label for the 1st ace pro which is going out today, but now I can only print with 3 colors, and if it is like the other unit port 3 will go out soon too. Still not happy with the Ace pro. I keep getting ACE pro lemons. from what I can see of the print i will be really happy if I can get an ace pro that will actually work.

Works without issue most of the time, getting better with recent firmware too.
When using anycubic materials on plastic spools, it works great. But designing in a way that cardboard spools require an adapter, or small spools require an adapter, kinda defeats the purpose of not using a regular apol holder setup. I have modded mine with a different rear roller setup which has helped some. Overall worth it, but needed more refinement in testing

Disappointment
I bought the Anycubic Kobra S1 3D printer combo that included this. The printer jammed immediately and this continued to try and feed filament and started making a horrible noise. I was hoping to replace as this all might have been a fluke but Amazon doesn't offer that anymore so now it's pack it up and ship it back. I was excited about this combo but it ended up being such a disappointment.

“Amazing with Just One Quirk!”**?
The Anycubic ACE Pro for Anycubic Kobra S1 is an exceptional choice for anyone seeking precision, reliability, and user-friendly functionality in 3D printing. This powerful machine offers superb performance, delivering crisp, high-quality prints with remarkable consistency. It has quickly become a staple in my creative arsenal, and I'm genuinely impressed by its capabilities. One feature that stands out is its compatibility with filament spools with plastic spool holders, ensuring seamless printing without any interruptions. The machine handles these spools effortlessly, maintaining a smooth workflow throughout the process. However, it's worth noting that filament spools with cardboard spool holders pose a challenge; the printer doesn't seem to favor them, causing some issues during operation. But with plastic spool holders, this minor hiccup is entirely avoidable and doesn't detract from the overall experience.Despite this quirk, the Anycubic ACE Pro remains a fantastic product that excels in every other aspect. Its sleek design, intuitive controls, and dependable output make it a joy to use, whether you're a seasoned 3D printing expert or a passionate newcomer. In summary, the Anycubic ACE Pro for Anycubic Kobra S1 delivers top-tier performance and reliability, with only a small caveat regarding filament spool compatibility. Once you pair it with the right spools, you'll unlock its full potential and enjoy an outstanding 3D printing experience.
