Pitbull Gold PRO GX5 Head and face Shaver

ive always relied on my lodger to finish off my hair with clippers after id got most of it..i decided to give the pitbull shaver a punt so i could shave my hair as and when i wanted. Well i was definately not disappointed..i shaved my head using the pitbull...it took around 5 mins and apart from a couple of spots it did a fantastic job..i just went over what i had missed and hey presto job done...still had 93% battery life which is insane !!! cleaning the unit was an absolute breeze...i tapped out most of the hair then ran the blades and just the part where the blades attach to the main unit under the tap...left both to dry then simply reassembled the unit..The shave....the shaving was incredibly easy to do and gave me a barely stubbled head all over...its a tad expensive but if you are looking for a brilliant easy to use shaver which does as well as you would get at the barbers you wont go wrong with this model...Quick update...ive shaved my head around 7 or 8 times now....battery still on 82% which again is insane ....Also forgot to mention....when i used to use the clippers there was always hair to hoover up off the carpet...now im constantly keeping my hair short using the Pitbull headshaver...a simple rinse of the blades under the tap...hair gone....job done!!! Im willing to bet im one of dozens of satisfied customers who...after shaving..constantly feel your head every hour or so thinking ....that did a great job!!!

Very good build quality. Now it has the same motor and blades as the platinum pro it makes it much better value. I couldn't and wouldn't pay the price for the platinum pro version. I've seen a few reviews of people saying it stopped working after a few weeks. I use it every day or every other day and make sure to clean it after every use. Cleaning it out with the brush then putting it back together and running it under warm water while turned on. I found for some reason it took about 2-3 cuts before it started cutting very close and smoothly. At first i thought there might be something wrong but after researching it seems quite common. It is obviously quite expensive, I did but the remington RX7 and was very happy with it (it actually probably cut closer than this pitbull) but I returned it after a week as somehow the blade got pushed in slightly and jammed the while thing up so returned it.

I have been using Pitbull Skull shaver for a number of years and absolute love it. I didnt realise how much i missed this product until i left my old platium version in a hotel while travelling with work and had to revert back to using a razor which took absolutely ages. This product is really effective giving a good close shave - comparable to a wet razor shave with aprox 6hrs growth. Its easy to use and very easy to clean and most importantly, it saves me so much time in the mornings - takes me maximum of 2 to 3 minutes to shave my entire head depending on how close and how many times i go over. Having owned both the platinum and now the Gold pro - i don't see any difference in the qualiyty of the shave, The only difference is the platinum looks a little more aesthetically pleasing in colour and the digital display. Also comes with a shaving stand but you could probably buy this separetly and cheaper. My old platinum had 5 shaving heads (one smaller head in the middle to go with the four around it) and the latest has 4 but havent noticed any difference in shaving quality. So to sum up - a great product and I love it ease of use and simplicity. I love how it makes my head feal after using and how much time I get back from not having to use a wet razor shave. If you have the cash and want to buy the platinum - go for it. For me - stick with the Gold Pro. Exactly the same shaving quality as the premium platinum model but at just over half the price.

Great shaver I am pleased with its performance so far. The reason I did not give the shaver a five star rating is because I think it would perform even better with a stronger motor. The other features are very good , it's looks , the recharge time, wet and dry usage and can shave head or face. The price is quite high the design is unusual and fits in the hand just right.

I’m embarrassed to say I’ve bought this shaver 3 times in the last 18 months and I’ve had faulty units replaced twice (that’s once for free, within warranty and another at a small cost because for some inexplicable reason Pitbull’s CS decided that’s the best they could do for me despite having bettered that the 1st time! So that’s 5 pitbull golds in 18 months and 5 faulty units. First just stopped powering on, second wouldn’t charge, the rest have done this thing where it just turns on and off by itself. I’ve had to stick it under a pillow on another room at night because it wants to run itself dead and you can’t intervene. But I LOVE this shaver when it works, it ticks every box for me (long battery, close shave, zero irritation - and I have sensitive skin). So I’ll probably get a 6th one because I’ve never found anything better. I wish they’d sort it out though. You can check the video reviews to see this is a common complaint and my guess is that the majority of reviewers giving this 5 stars have just not come back here to update their glowing (and rightly so) review about the shaver since it (more than likely) stopped working.

Bought for the husband, so easy to use &does a great job, he whips over head & face every other day..

Imagine the scene...indecide to shave my head. I decide to go to the barbers for the initial haircut to ensure a nice clean smooth shaven head is Achieved. That d8d not happen. After a number of trips to different barbers none actually got the smooth finish, even after I ask for a closer shave - barring one, that took 30 minutes. I got the skull shaver and it achieved a decently good shave without head shaving gel With gel it was very very smooth. Can't recall ever getting a cut in 3 years of using the pit bull. Ovcasional razor burn on the back of my next which I think is me pressing to hard and the shape/skin of the area. Great ergonomic design that make it easy to hold while shaving, not dropped it once. Nor has it slipped out of my hand even when I still have shaving gel on my hand. Charge is great. I've been at less than 5% at times and still get a full head shave. Taken it on many holidays. Easy to clean. I keep it clean and have not noted the razor dulling over the years. No signs of this one burning out or breaking...but if it did I'd by one again the same day without hesitation. Highly recommend. Quick, effective and smooth.

simply a superb product that leaves zero mess and takes a very short amount of time to finish with out any nicks or cuts on your head..
