What speeds does the enclosure support?

The Hub supports up to 10Gbps. Although the port from the Mac mini is Thunderbolt 4 (Thunderbolt 5 for M4 Pro or M5 Pro Mac mini), the enclosure within the hub only supports USB 3.2 (10Gbps) transfer speeds.

Is the hub powered externally or through the Mac mini?

The Mac mini M6, M5 Pro, M4 Hub is BUS-powered directly through the USB-C connection to the Mac mini, eliminating the need for an external power supply.
