Q: Does it have continuous monitoring and backup camera

I wired my camera into the 12v power supply for my 7 blade trailer connector on back of cargo van I use for work so I have a rear view mirror, sorta. I used a heavy duty continuous duty cycle relay between battery and trailer connector so the camera and power feed to trailer is only on when key is in the run position and plugged monitor's plug with switch left on into the factory key on power port in dash so I start the van and camera comes on. Very easy to wire or have a relay wired in with a fuse tap, relay, and wire for constant monitoring in any vehicle with a test light and basic tools. Takes 1-2 hours depending on how the wiring is routed but its much like wiring a car for an amp. Heavy duty relay not required, I used that for future plans. Objects in this camera are MUCH closer than they appear. Lol. Adding a 2nd camera high mounted so I'm covered for all backing situations

Q: The description shows 24 volts. I see where it works on 12 volts. Is this an error? Are there any installation instructions posted?

I'm not sure about the 24 volts. There are a couple of different ways to install this system. The written instructions are kind of sparse, but they direct you to online instructions that help you understand options and how to do it.

Your question does not pertain to the item shown. There is only a single plug for power and ground on both the camera and monitor.

Q: is this camera waterproof

Since I have installed the camera, I have washed the truck at the local car wash, several times, using pressure washer and scrub brush. I haven't seen any water in the camera lens. Also this area recently received ten plus inches of rain over three days and still didn't noticed any water accumulating in the lens or when activated in the monitor.
