Carven Exhaust R-Series Performance Muffler 3"

great quality,welds are super clean and sounds so good, clean and refine.

Sounds great on my 2005 6.0LS Chevy.

I’ve purchased 3 of these for 3 different vehicles. I will say they sound much better on a 5.0 coyote than a LS

The Carven R is packless with a perforated baffle at the inlet and a flat baffle before the outlet. It doesn't hugely reduce the volume level of the exhaust, but it does seem to "clean up" the sound which is why I bought them since I already had a pair of Borla 40085s further upstream near the engine to do the real muffling/volume reduction and the combination of the Borlas and Carvens worked pretty well...! The exhaust basically sounds the same as it did before I installed the Carvens, but now the sound is little cleaner and a little meaner, especially as the engine speeds get up over 3500 rpm. At lower engine speeds the exhaust has more bass with the Carvens, but as the engine winds up the sounds of the two different mufflers really come together...! I did get drone at highway speeds; I also had it with just the Borla 40085s, but it is less with the Carvens installed and I installed Helmholtz chambers to kill the drone completely because I like the tone too much to go to quieter mufflers.

2012 Tahoe install. I paired these up with a set of long tube headers, cat delete and X pipe full dual 3" exhaust out the back of my Tahoe so I can't say exact for these mufflers alone but I can say they've got a nice aggressive tone along with better throttle response. They seem to be built really well with very little drone in the vehicle. Overall they look amazing and the performance is A++
