Perfect for Homemade Mango Sticky Rice
I bought this Thai Sticky Rice to make mango sticky rice, and it turned out great. The rice cooks well and has the perfect chewy, sticky texture needed for this dessert. It’s a good quality sticky rice, and I would buy it again for making mango sticky rice at home.

Outstanding sweet rice from Thailand. Having gone through many brands and now several bags of this one, I value it for its quality and consistency. Perfect for making sticky rice and mango. I clean the rice (rinse it 3-5 times) first, let it sit for several hours, then cook it for perfect results every time.

Great for sweet sticky rice dessert
I bought this because I wanted to make the Thai dessert "sweet sticky rice with mangoes" that I always get at Thai restaurants. It cooks differently than regular white rice. You're supposed to soak it overnight. The first time I made it I just boiled it like regular rice, but it ended up pretty gluey and soggy. I think I must have overcooked it. So the next time I did it the way my recipe suggested, and it came out great! I soaked the rice overnight, drained the water, then put the rice in a metal strainer above a deep pot of boiling water with a kitchen towel and a lid on top. With the coconut sauce that I made, the rice came out delicious. It was sticky like it was supposed to be, but not overcooked. It was a little time intensive, but worth it. Without any flavoring I don't notice this rice's flavor being very different from regular arborio white rice, so I'm not sure why it's called sweet rice.
