These are the perfect size for shaking flour or powdered sugar. And unlike the small ones, these plastic caps stay in place and help keep things neat and allow them to be stored occasionally on their side in a proofing basket and not spill. See the photo comparing the medium and small size shakers. 10 ounces is literally filled to the brim so it really holds maybe 8oz. You can see how this compares to the cup size Pyrex container. NOTE: Small size is TOO SMALL for most uses. See comparison photo. I made the mistake of getting the smaller size a while back, and although they work, I was always refilling them. The worst part was the plastic caps were too loose and wouldn’t stay on, so every time it fell over a shot of flower would spread everywhere.

These are perfect for bulk seasoning. I appreciate the cover which snuggly fits to keep the contents fresh. I personally use it for my dusting powders for my sourdough breads. For an idea of size they are just like the ones at most pizza parlors.

I purchased these as I was tired of needing to pull out my sifter for certain things. I used one for cinnamon and one for icing sugar. It was a little pricy for a small container but the quality is really good. The clear lid ontop actually snaps into place so I dont need to worry as much about them spilling too easily. The only concern with the clear lid is that it can almost be a little too hard to remove, but I rather that than too easy. They dont have any smells. They were easy to wash. They work really well and dispense evenly. I would recommend these.
